There's a whole style to Black's vehicles that follows through not just the obvious modifications but the choice of cars themselves and the stylization of the models and it is so fucking good that no other game before or since- or piece of media in general, honestly- has even come close in my humble opinion. Everything is all rusted and corroded but not like they just opened Blender and pasted rust into their 256x256 texture canvases, it's realistic corrosion and repairs of the type you'd expect from 20 year old cars in a shit-tastic midwest industrial city that's then overlapped with the Calypso special. I could rave about those designs and all the little details all fucking day long (and have before) and wish I could pick the brains of the concept artists and designers and see what goodies they're hiding since apparently Sweet Tooth's truck alone had like 300 designs before being finalized. 2012 comes close, but IMO, relies a little too much on taking direct copies of real world cars and giving them all the same armor and modifications, which I guess is necessary since you have to see the driver for the headshot rifle and having open-able windows to hang out of and stuff, but it certainly hurts creativity.>which is why it has the coolest version of darksidehell fucking YES my dude.
