Being fucking awesome is good enough, but if you want thematic reasoning then being a fat, gluttonous crocodile king counterpart to a /fit/, friendly, and cool gorilla is wonderful contrast for a hero and villain.God, his comeback was so fucking KOOL, holy shit.

>>736460486That's the thing about Frederick, his boss battle played a lot like a combination of k Rools fights but the team didn't understand the little things made K Rool memorable. K Rool only had one single fight to make him memorable with very few resources. The fake out credits is the main thing that made him stand out at the time. Frederick has nothing to make him pop. They should have given him more screen time, more personality during the game before the final boss fight, utilize the resources of modern game should have for introducing a new character.

>>736453759He's actually sort of the smartest character in the show, but they balance it out by making his grunts retarded, having him not go as far as he legitimately could if he wanted, having him fuck around for his own amusement, and by having DK being so strong he and his people instantly will forfeit when he comes around. Second one is actually highlighted by one of his subordinates after they hit their head and become a mastermind and the last one got less prominent as the series went on as they seemingly nerfed DK from being able to solo his entire army casually.
