>>736458967Itachi is broken, which is fun if you want to shit on your nephew or something, but it's otherwise just bad game design.Zabuza is one of the most fun but once Kisame gets added he's literally just a better Zabuza, and I think he's maybe kind of a newb stomper, so I have mixed feelings about using him.Chouji and Hinata are fun in a meme way. Chouji can eat chips to make himself stronger so if you can stall the game out you can ToD your friend, while Hinata has a counter and it's always fun to counter your friends (she's otherwise a shitty Neji). I might also mention Ino, since she's fun to play but she can't throw and it's embarrassing that she has to call for an assist for her special, but this makes it funnier when you beat your friend with her.Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Haku and Kakashi are fun but can be a little awkward at times; I think they each have one move that doesn't work the way you'd think it should.Team Gai are the best: super fun, they work the way you'd think, they all have crazy combos, pretty much no complaints. Honorable mention goes to Anko: she's also super fun but she feeds the enemy like crazy.Any character I didn't mention plays in a kind of awkward and/or unsatisfying way.

Damage is reduced if you continue a new combo immediately....... OR back up/move forward slightly to null the damage reduction and deal full damage on the enemy in the new combo. Can be escaped with kawarimi.Itachi's down special counter attack can lead to 0-100% death setups easily with it, especially since the enemy can't kawarmi out of that since you're still comboing him "during/after" a special.Characters with plenty of launching combos shot up in the meta: Temari's air B spam is even more of a nightmare, Kiba is a huge threat along with the Akamaru bug that gives him almost-full control of the arena, Haku can follow-up with down A + Y-cancel spam for extra damage, etc) Meanwhile, characters who lack those combos get the short end of the stick. Tayuya is literally unsalvageable.
>>736468107>>736468275The premise of Naruto is basically at its earliest is everyone Naruto meets is potentially Naruto but grew into someone else through different beliefs and different circumstances, this is most obvious in Gaara but both Zabuza and Haku are different Narutos.Zabuza sees his past self in Haku, the kid that grew up isolated and abandoned so he doesn't show him any kind of love because he was never offered any.The thing is Haku did grow up with someone that loved him and hated hurting people.and Zabuza is reveals he was lying the entire time about being a psychopath in that he really did have compassion for Haku, that he was suppressing his feelings for basically his entire life because that's how he learned to be a ninja. The cornerstone of Naruto's speech to Zabuza is basically that 'if your way of the ninja is the only way then being a ninja is wrong.', this is the thematic bridge of other major characters being different Naruto's because to him using people as tools is unacceptable and Zabuza knows that's true.
