Horses have been in games for a while as a glorified vehicle.Has a game properly used them as a weapon?Horses kickHorses stompA horse's bite has decapitated a manWar horses were just as vicious a combatant as the knights who rode them.
>>736459863Elden Ring and Shadow of the Colossus both allow you to fight on horseback depending on location.
>both allow you to fight on horsebackReading comprehension.
>>736459863In final fantasy 14 chocobos serve the same role as horses and you can have them as combat companionsIf I remember right in mount and blade horses themselves do a good bit of charge damage, haven't played in a while though
I'm 99% sure this will turn into a gore thread so I will be leaving.
>>736459863Horses are also constantly farting and if farts were visible they'd always be enshrouded in a cloud of fart gas

>>736459863FoE Remains has good horse combat ^:)
>>736460195Also I think in dominions 6 (maybe 5 but i'm not certain) mounts fight separately from their riders, or maybe I am getting that confused with riders getting kicked off their mounts and fighting on foot

>>736459863There's not really any game that has let you use horses as a weapon in combat with complex moves. Mount & Blade Warband is probably the closest with allowing you to trample footsoldiers and knock them down. Red Dead Redemption 2 the horse could kick things including you, but it wasn't something you could do on demand. And generally if you were riding a horse, you wouldn't want it to risk its limbs in combat. Horses in that age (and if you used them now) are a glorified vehicle. Your horse carries you distances significantly farther than you could handle. If your horse got injured, you'd either be hobbling it back at a quarter the pace you walk yourself, and you could potentially be stranded by dozens or hundred miles. You can risk combat, because if you get fucked up your horse can still carry your beaten ass at the same speed. If the horse gets maimed, you are both fucked. Horses can fuck shit up, yes, but it's something never cultivated because it risks their true function as a glorified vehicle.
