Have achievements destroyed modern gaming culture?more and more people seem to see video games as a list of digital tasks to complete, rather than, you know, gamesand developers have gone out of their way to cater to these types of people
Nintendo still dominates so I don't think so. Achievements have shone a light on a lot of retards though. I think they're fun to unlock but some people will check achievement lists before buying a game and will play baby shit just so they can 100% themt. know someone from high school who does this
>>736462150making an ingame percentage counter reach 100% and finishing a cheevo list is not much different to mei just like doing objectives in games
>>736462150I'll never get the retards that say they can't play a game unless it has achievements. I could at least understand if it's a reason for you to replay a game that originally didn't have any but you can't do a first playthrough unless there are achievements?
>>736462150they simply enhance gaming. they give you a roadmap of what the game offers, they reward you at the end, and it's a healthy sign of when you can move on. you can come back but you can know that you have seen what the devs intended as a whole.
