Why don't more games feature dinosaurs as antagonists?
>>
Wow. Rude.
>>
Because Jurassic World and whiny featherfags ruined dinosaurs.
>>
>>736463630
Nah, Jurasic Park and it's consequences ruined the goetic esoterica that is "dinosaurs"

Jurassic Park is what made dinomania.
Jurassic World turning dinosaurs into Marvel and a bunch of spergs complaining that everything wasn't ACKurate for the past 20 years destroyed that.
>>

as fantastical as they are they still trigger animal sympathies. it's well enough to have one animal as an enemy but having that be the entire focus of the game will turn people off. people are more comfortable killing fantasy creatures.

What JP did was create a monopoly, nobody wants to compete.

They are the good guys.
>>
>>736463503
They've stopped trying to push dinosaurs everywhere because most people are now aware that paleontology was a psyop and a scam
>>
>>736463991
And for good reason. Jurassic Park solved dinosaurs. All you can do is build off that, which is what most of the good shit that came out of dinomania did.
Now that World has been around longer and just straight up sucks, on top of having a bunch of faggots henpecking about what's accurate, so does the rest of dino pop culture.
>>
>>736463503
Because dinosaurs were never real.
>>
>>736464352
So, Goblins aren't real and they are evil in my GameCube.

The actual reason is that dinosaurs are hard to animate as enemies. They're very long, or very big; and while that's not as much of a problem in an open world game (like dragons in Skyrim), in a claustrophobic survival horror game it is a big problem. How do raptors navigate corners? How do they navigate obstacles? All questions you don't need to ask if you just have humanoid enemies, or gorilla enemies, or rats, or whatever.

It's the same problem. Humans are just easier. It isn't impossible, just hard enough that zombies and such are the norm.
