Genuine question: I love watching RE game playthroughs, but I’ve never played the games myself because I hate experiencing horror firsthand and I like having a goofy lets player guide me through it. Can I still be a real fan since I’ve seen all the games played, know the story, characters, lore, etc.? I want to try RE but even the OG games on PS1 spook me too much

I don't know what it is about Resident Evil but most of the fans never play the games, I think people are intimidated by the survival aspect of it, Requiem is the first game in the series that even normies are playing, when you think about it the clinic only has like 5 locked doors and ~10 zombies in it, it's just a really straightforward and easy to digest game.
