There would be such a lost opportunity if both provinces High Rock and Hammerfell are not in the game, but just one or the other.
>>
yeah i agree. i really hope they put high rock in there as well. i want to see the breton land with all the feuding kingdoms and stuff
>>
I fear for Todd's soul
He's aware that what comes out for elder scrolls 6 cannot undo the early announcement damage in 2018
The critics are going to eat the game alive for not feeling like it has the soul of Skyrim, oblivion or Morrowind. Not even a thimble of a pinkie will be the line.
The engine will get critically put under fire to the point Bethesda has to sunset the creation engine to the dismay of modders everywhere.
They'll try covering it up with DLSS the newest AI filter Nvidia has out by its launch. They'll probably work closely together for it but it'll be called lipstick on a pig.
That'll force Microsoft's hand to make the call to pull the plug for something that has better vertical integration with Nvidias streamlined AI upscaling

It's a from future y'all

If they do then I wonder how they would handle the Iliac Bay, would it just be a big empty sea occupying 40% of the map
>>
>>736469012
As long as we get the sea between them as the focal point of the game, ES6 will be dope.
>>
>>736469330
bethesda are experts at making empty maps
>>
>>736469012
I think at this point, they need to up the ante beyond just having singular regions unless they're going to make them unreasonably large. We don't get these games often enough for that to work any more.

My early theory was that ES6 was going to be in Valenwood, Elsweyr, and Summerset Isles since that would have a good mix of terrains and peoples while being able to continue the Aldmeri Dominion and Thalmor storyline from Skyrim.
>>
im looking forward to it. My biggest fear is that it will have skyrim style killcams that you cant turn off. I dont like cutscenes in the middle of combat, i tolerated them in skyrim for melee because i had a mod that made them very rare on last enemy only. once they added them to ranged characters i had to turn those off completely.

Starfield actually gave me more hope for the next tes. the roleplay stuff in character selection was cool.

>fighting Dreugh at corner of ship
>suddenly ejected into the depths at hyper speed with no resistance, violently shit my pants
nah I'm good, fast travel over that shit beyond a shallow coastline please
>>
>>736469330
I imagine sailing will be a big component of the game. Surely they'll think of something to put in the water. Then again it is Bethesda.
>>
>>736469012
TES VI? all I can do is Skyrim 2 with Shartfield as the base, emil faglarulo as the """""writer"""""" and the same shitty ueless engine; take it or leave it
>>
>>736469012
I really wonder how far they will let us play around with the character maker and influence the cities, guilds with our decisions, if sailing will be part will we have a light economy, will piracy and buccaneers be part of the gameplay.. or will we have to mod the most stuff inside ourselves

>My early theory was that ES6 was going to be in Valenwood, Elsweyr, and Summerset Isles since that would have a good mix of terrains and peoples while being able to continue the Aldmeri Dominion and Thalmor storyline from Skyrim.
If you actually ever thought this I need to ask... can you pass whatever you were smoking?

>I really wonder how far they will let us play around with the character maker and influence the cities, guilds with our decisions
It will probably be like Starfield. Faction questlines have several small choices throughout, and generally a larger choice at the end, that determines how it plays out, but its still largely isolated from each other.

>will piracy and buccaneers be part of the gameplay
Being a pirate was in Starfield via the Crimson Fleet, and you could just go do piracy on ships yourself. Game also had things like disabling ships so you could board them and take their loot and shit.
>>
>>736471130
Instead you will get lured by a Lamia overboard just to realise those packs of Dreugh are there to eat you both
>>
>>736471775
Now let us hire a crew for those captured ships and fund our city that we have become the Thane or equivalent of in tes6 is, rewards will be ultra rare enchanted equipment and perhaps stuff to decorate our house/patch of land we can rule
>>
>>736471946
I mean, you can hire crew for your ships and outposts in Starfield. I don't really see them letting us have several ships of our own vs several enemy ships. More like the 1v1s, or up to like 1v3s, like in Starfield.
>>
>>736471708
I would, but I smoked all of my 2014 hopium a long time ago.
>>
>bethesda got Bought by Microsoft and have to be PG13 before you could get DLSS5 sex companion scenes in the main game

RREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

>The critics are going to eat the game alive
modern critics are dogs. throw them a couple gs and they will write songs about whatever slops you want
>>
>>736469012
Iliac Bay with ships as a mechanic seems like a no brainer, but I'm sure Todd will fuck it up.
>>
Crimson desert won
>>
But if its too big, won't they put AI-generated, procedurally generated stuff or leave most of the map empty? I want handcrafted content.
>>
>>736473078
I still hope they give proc-gen another good shot. It felt like in Starfield, they only put it in there as either a callback to Daggerfall, or a barometer for how people would feel about it.
Unfortunately, it sucked in Starfield.
I think they can do it again. they just need to commit to it.

>would it just be a big empty sea occupying 40% of the map
why not have ocean encounters, boats, ocean monsters, storms, islands, rocks, reefs n shit?
Even fucking Dwarf Fortress has had modular boats for a while now.
>>
>>736469012
I can't wait for loading screens every 15 minutes of walking in a direction and needing to do fast travel to get to the next spot like Starfield.

>TESVI
>Hammerfell + High Rock
>you start out as a refugee entering from Skyrim
>it's the 6E and the Redguards have solo'd the Aldmeri Dominion all the way to Summerset Isles
>no Hoonding but dragons are back
>there is a Redguard Emperor in Cyrodiil
>sailing is a new mechanic, even more basic than AssCreed Black Fag
>shipbuilding taken from Starfield as well as hiring crew members
>you get 6 main followers, 3 Redguard females and 3 Redguard males with there are 40+ generic followers who have zero storyline and are just hired hands
>basebuilding makes a return and is expanded even more as Hammerfell only has Sentinel a couple of "cities"
>3 hours into the main storyline you're forced to sail into Daggerfall and High Rock gets unlocked as a separate region
>Stros M'kai is the first DLC and focuses heavily on sailing, piracy/stopping piracy and ship building
>2nd DLC has the player return to Solitude and western Skyrim, map maxes out at Whiterun to the east and Markarth's borders to the south; Morthal is included but there's nothing there but sidequests
>3rd DLC expands on Orsinium, in the base game they'll just be two large Ork camps in proximity with one another and they have a civil war; also the other side summoned daedra whom you must deal with
>Creation Club on day 1 with overcurated player homes, blackpowder weapons, curved swords and settlement building stuff
>>
>>736469012
I cant wait for everyone to be mad the map isn't as big as Daggerfall's, exposing them as posers who've never played the game.
99.99% of the map could be cut since there's absolutely fucking nothing there.
>>
>>736476180
it's going to start out on a prison ship, which will be a callback to daggerfall and also morrowind but instead of ending up in a dungeon or in a trading post you wake up and your ship is under attack. they'll probably make you pilot the ship at some point in the intro, or even just give you one by the end of it because todd loves to do that. oh it'll also be bland, neutered, boring, soulless shit because that's all bethesda are capable of producing these days
