imo stray is only worth playing if you're really into cats. it's a very light puzzle walking sim platformer and literally the only cool thing about it is that you are a cat

if that sounds good to you, you'd probably get some enjoyment out of it but for me it was mildly disappointing

Stray is not even a platformer. You can only jump when the game gives you the button prompt to do it in specific spots. It sucks.
You want an animal game? Play Tchia. You play as a brown loli on a tropical island and you possess animals.

I would unironically pick this over the shit OP asked about in a heartbeat, Stray in particular is so automated and on rails it's barely even a fucking game. Imagine if a 3d mario platformer was as on rails, scripted, and ridgid as a rockstar game, that's Stray and it's horrible.
