Holy shit do GameCube games hold up. Probably the best console to emulate
>>736469759Kind of shit library so no thanks
try Wii games with an actual wiimote. they're pure arcade fun.
>>736469759Even the tiny handheld screen can't hide how dogshit the ui elements look, this shit does NOT "hold up"
Nintendo slowly drip feeding games on their emulation system is annoying. There are lots of older games people want, but Nintendo is like "Nah, we'll give you maybe 2-3 a year and you'll like it." They should put Golden Sun on there, specifically Lost Ages, despite everyone saying Lost Ages is worse, but it's the best handheld JRPG in my opinion. I must have put 100+ hours into on Gameboy. That's a comfy game to play, just something to lay in bed and play for hours. You don't really find games like that nowadays, at least not for me. I kinda grew out of the handheld system.
>>736471848It looks like Fisher Price. No one wonder Gamecube was seen as a baby's toy.
i recently tried out wario world. mid ass game but i do miss that weird ass aesthetic from nintendo games in general.
>>736471948based retardhttps://www.nintendo.com/us/whatsnew/new-update-a-pair-of-golden-games-have-been-added-for-nintendo-switch-online-expansion-pack-members/
>>736471948Oh wow. I just looked because I was curious but apparently Golden Sun and Golden Sun: Lost Age are on NSO. Damn. I might need to dust off the Switch and sign up for NSO.
>>736469806Super Monkey Ball alone makes it goated
>>736472049Not really retarded, just ignorant. I haven't touched my Switch in over a year because it's boring. I knew about NSO, but I didn't keep up with what games were added. When NSO launched it didn't include the Golden Sun games, wasn't aware they got added at some point. That article was January 2024, so apparently, they've been out for over two years now...jesus. I guess Nintendo has been adding a lot to their NSO service. I know Pokemon XD got added, well not the one everyone wanted. It was Gale of Darkness, but for nostalgia reasons I'd rather have the first game. They've added quite a lot of nostalgic games now, so I might get the NSO just to play them. I've already seen at least 12-15 games I use to play as a kid, and wouldn't mind replaying, not sure if I'll get the same excitement out of them but it'd be fun if I do.
>>736471848Gamecube games were intended for 4:3 CRTs, of course a widescreen LCD would make it look worse than it should.
>Added Gamecube support last summer right before the Switch 2 dropped >Only NINE Gamecube games are currently available on the Gamecube NSO classic catalog >Been almost a year now Nine games are all they added. That's pathetic. Greedy ass company. There should be at least 15-20 games by now, and there are still plenty of titles they could have dropped. Popular titles. Pikmin Star Fox Adventures Smash Melee Mario Sunshine Paper Mario (Only the Nintendo 64 version is available) Skies of Arcadia Tales of Symphonia Metroid Prime series It just saddens me that they really didn't release anything in a year timespan except for like 2-3 games. People go crazy for Skies of Arcadia, Pikmin, Metroid, and Mario Sunshine. I don't care about Smash, but Melee faggots would probably cream their pants.
>>736472737Maybe if you actually played video games, by the time you complete a few of those, more will be available. And if you've already played them, you're not the target demographic, go back to original hardware or Dolphin unc
>>736471848>>736472594You can emulate it in a 4:3 ratio with 2-4x upscaled resolution and it would probably look really good.
>>736472792>You're not the LE TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC >Unc I see the latest Reddit defense is already being spammed. But go ahead and humor me. Who, pray tell, is the target demographic? Hipsters? People like me that want to relive nostalgia? It's a lot different playing a game from childhood as child/teenager, and replaying it 20 years later, retard. The magic and excitement aren't there anymore for a lot of people. It might be fun, but it won't be what it was when you first played it 20 years ago. Go play Animal Crossing on Dolphin. I promise you it won't be nearly as magical or relaxing as it was when people played it 20+ years ago. The Switch game wasn't nearly as cozy to me, think I dropped it after a few days.
>>736469873how do they track the wii mote? do you need a specially made adapter or you can connect it via bluetooth and replace the sensor with 2 candles
>>736472908>Who, pray tell, is the target demographic?Children and casual gamers. This has been Nintendo's primary target demographic for over 20 years since the release of the DS, and you're just too stupid to realize it. There are tons of people who started playing during the Switch/COVID era who never played Gamecube games, and will have their first introduction through NSO offerings.>Go play Animal Crossing on Dolphin. I promise you it won't be nearly as magical or relaxing as it was when people played it 20+ years ago.The game is the same, it's you who are different. The joy is gone from your life and what is left seems to be a jaded husk.
>>736473059>New players>COVID era AH, you mean normalfags and "new" players. I don't care about those people. There are plenty of older Nintendo fans
>>736473002I use the Mayflash Dolphinbar
>>736473108>I don't care about those peopleAnd this is why you will continue to be an out of touch loser (unc) who can't enjoy anything anymore due to nostalgia poisoning. Once upon a time you were also a child playing those same games (or worse, all of the shovelware that surrounded their release), but it seems you've forgotten.
>>736473224>uncWhy is this being forced so hard its not organic at all. Something bizarre is going on. Is this another weird psyop
>>736474005nahhh unc is lowkirkenuinely tweakin fr
>>736474504What
>>736471990Gaming was in its adolescent age, so yes, anything with no tits and violence was seen for kids.
>>736472737Several of these (MP1, TTYD, Pikmin) already have paid Switch ports that Nintendo won't want to cannibalise and so will probably never make it onto the service at all. And Melee with netplay is a guaranteed multi-million seller if they beef it up into a proper port like FRLG, so they're not going to give that away for free either.
>>736477308At the very least they should have given us Skies of Arcadia. I feel like a lot of people would have enjoyed that. You can just emulate it on Dolphin, so it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, but it'd be nice to see officially.
>>736472737No one gives a shit about paid switch emulators this is a dolphinchad thread
