Its still clunky as fuck. Even if you can do very specific things, its not smooth or easy or fun to do. It does look nice though. But none of the ass creed games are especially fun besides black flag and thats despite all the assassin stuff not because of it.

Ubisoft haven't made good games since Splinter Cell. Assassins Creed is all slop with no good mission design because of the open world crutch mostly. Theres rarely any good sneaking gameplay and i don't think Mirage or Shadows ever pushed anything forward. Unity was more of the same mediocrity of the serious previously before that. But i suppose this was meant to be an improvement because they had some indoor missions? it still didn't feel like they ever designed anything that could even compete with a newer Hitman game.

The closest you can get to a hardcore sneaking experience with them nowadays is with a modified version of Ghost Recon Breakpoint with Spartan/high enemy presence in bases and Fear the Radio. Or Wildlands i suppose but it's far weaker.

I dislike Assassins Creed and the Ubisoft design philosophy when they brought about this series. Its very foundations were always flawed.

It is set in Paris during the french revolution so that immediately makes it above average. It is a good game despite all the assasins/templars jank.

From what I've seen the PC version still has pop in issues and still can't run all that well even on a fucking 5090.
This is a mediocre entry in the series. Sure Syndicate is worse, sure the series went into a different direction with Origin that makes it no longer really Assassin's Creed, but it's not amazing either. It's just a step above every single thing that came after. Black Flag still remains the best.

the amount of times I've had guys randomly alert like two floors above me while I'm sneaking around unalerted just makes this game jank
also no lure whistle

has coop missions which I had alot of fun with with some friends
granted all this was like a decade ago when it came out so things could've changed
