The sensor on my trusty G502X that I've had for nearly 4 years now is starting to wig out every once and a while, the rubber bits are becoming tacky, the feet have grooves worn into them that I can fit my fingernail in, and the tension on the right switch is getting low enough that I accidentally right click when I don't mean to from holding it down so much for ADS.
It is, however, not double-clicking yet.
Do I:
>just buy another G502X
>try and repair my existing one
>buy a completely different mouse like the superstrike
?

I bought the original G502 model ten years ago
It's still working perfectly

I feel like Logitech are one of the only cheap mice that also don't constantly shit out like yeah eventually they hit a wall or there are defective ones but a couple of them through the years have lasted me multiple years. I feel like it's a once every 5 years purchase minimum

I game but I would feel like a fag if I bought anything more pricey than a G203

Thoughts on vertical mice? I saw one in a local shop that was rather cheap and I'm tempted to give it a go

>mfw "reduction in weight" always gets marketed as a selling point, but I actually WANT a hefty mouse

It's not a gaming mouse, but I've found MX Master 4 to be incredible. Once you try the two wheel setup you'll never go back just like with added button functionality. Only drawback is the price, sadly.

Lightweight mouse is the meta right now. Wired. Anywhere from 48-54g is nice. Open hole design so your palm doesn't grease up and sweat. PixArt sensor.

less than 1ms latency

I do a flat fingertip grip with no curling of the fingers which is possible because I don't use a tall gaymer mouse designed for palm grip manlets with tiny hands. Daily 8+ hours of mouse use for 30 years with no joint or wrist strain ever

people have always been oddly specific about mice. for example, mx master 4 removes rubberized surface and some say that new slickness makes them lose performance.

I use >>736472313 G203 which is relatively small and I have man-sized hands, with index and middle finger on the mouse buttons the bottom end of the mouse doesn't extend to the palm of my hand. The top of the palm (under the fingers) pushes the bottom curve of the mouse when moving the mouse up, but otherwise the entire palm is insulated by air. My grip is flatter than the palm grip in the pic you posted but the mouse only goes as far as the bottom knuckle of my fingers. It's an ergonomically perfect, infinite usage potential grip with no palm sweat involvement despite my having relatively sweaty palms

Unfortunately I don't know how you'd try to repair the sensor itself.
I put a board in there with hotswap sockets, some silent huano switches, and superglide feet about a year ago. I hope the sensor doesn't malfunction, this mouse is perfection for me.

How fucking big is that mouse, or small is that hand?

I have a Keychron K10. Took a bit to get used to but once I did it's pretty nice.
If you can get it for cheap it's worth a try.

*M5, misremembered the name.
Also want to add that I'm just referring to vertical mice in general, not my one specifically.

Should've been in the market 15 years ago. The original G502 even came with extra weights you could put in. It's all been downhill from there.

If you play FPS get cheap lightweight chink mouse to see if you like them.
I went from using wired G502X to VRE R1 Pro MAX. My logikek has no problems after 3+ years except the rubber getting nasty.
I love how there is almost no resistance so I can just aim quicker, going back and forth between those two is night and day. G502X wins for shitposting because of extra buttons and free scroll wheel.
For 30€ I'm satisfied with that chink knockoff.
Also if you are holding ADS button so much try using keyboard as secondary option, it will make your mouse hand less tense.
Another reminder, clean your mousepad nao!

Why is it always like this?

how come eye-tracking (+a remote) isn't more popular? how come there isn't any better alternative yet?

I'd recommend the g600 but they're out of production and now cost a whopping $240. I bought mine for $40.
