They really don't amount to much, and there isn't a story worth following after KH2, despite what it seems. None of KH's "implied storytelling" holds any water.
the cutscenes are there to laugh at and occasionally shout "KINO". the reason to play is the gameplay, and 1fm, 2fm, and 3re are all good action games.

A game like FF is satisfying because the combat is rewarding as you're moving the story forward. In KH the story I'm moving forward is pure bollocks, and all the fun Joyrides of every Disney area you go through feel like filler and not something fun. It feels like the game is holding me back from getting done.

But I didn't like how it looked. "Final Fantasy and Donald Duck" is a weird, but it should be so weird that you go "What on earth? the story of 1 and 2 are just fun, using the story of the rest of the series is just complete mental retardationt. have played every game except for 2.8 and the rhythm game
