>>736475895Whenever possible, I just use cheats for any game with this sort of RNG-based drop system.So I've cheated all talismans and other rare drops (like mantles and plates) in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and XX on my hacked 3DS. I just used a save editor on PC and transferred my edited save data to my 3DS. Otherwise, that's just potentially several dozen/hundreds/thousands of hours just to grind for loot with drop rates in the single digits (in the case of monster drops like mantles) or sub-1% (in the case of actually good talismans). I do the same for later MH games too. And it hasn't affected how much I played these games either. I still have like 600-700+ hours per Monster Hunter game. It's just that removing the most bullshit RNG allows me to focus on the joy of fighting monsters, instead of rolling dice with each quest or mining nodes (as was the case with the whole Sakura farming method).
