The mechanics are better than in any other soulsslop, and even the setting has some cool things working for it. Too bad they frontloaded it with the gayest and lamest monocle mustache puppet shit imaginable. This and the horrendous name ensured it would never become a huge success.

For those who have played main game + DLC, did you find the story tragic as hell too? Man, it still hits me, Carlo's soul was the last hope and, in the end, he managed to deliver salvation to a desolate place, Geppeto's plan backfired on his ass I also found it cool how you become human the more you lie, a bit on the nose if you ask me ;)

I like how DLC managed to answer basically every remaining question too and even implied how Carlo has died in the first place.And yet even despite tragedies it ends on a satisfying and hopeful note with P now serving as a guardian of the city together with Sophia working with him from shadows.

I once said I liked the setting and exploration but didn't care for almost every boss. Apparently parrying the increasingly autistic anime patterns is what people like about this game.
