Any spooky mystery games?
>The Dyatlov Pass incident was an event in which nine Soviet ski hikers died in the northern part of the Ural Mountains ridge in the Russian SFSR of the Soviet Union on 1 or 2 February 1959 under undetermined circumstances. The experienced trekking group from the Ural Polytechnical Institute, led by Igor Dyatlov, went on a hike of the highest difficulty level at that time, and had established a camp on the eastern slopes of Kholat Syakhl mountain. Overnight, the group cut their way out of their tent by knives and fled the campsite, inadequately dressed for the heavy snowfall, strong winds and extreme cold temperatures as low as −40 °C (−40 °F).>After the group's bodies were discovered, an investigation by Soviet authorities determined that six of them had died from hypothermia while the other three had been killed by physical trauma. One victim had major skull damage, two had severe chest trauma, and another had a small crack in his skull. Four of the bodies were found in May 1959 lying in running water in a creek, and three of them had damaged soft tissue of the head and face – two of the bodies had missing eyes, one had a missing tongue, and one had missing eyebrows. The investigation concluded that a "compelling natural force" (elemental force) had caused the deaths.>Another group of hikers (about 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of the incident) reported that they saw strange orange spheres in the sky to the north on the night of the incident. Similar spheres were observed in Ivdel and adjacent areas continually during the period from February to March 1959, by various independent witnesses (including the meteorology service and the military). Also, radiation was on their clothes. One of the weirdest mysteries ever.
Observer by Bloober Team is one of the creepiest games I have ever played. Also has Rutger Hauer which is a plus.Another similarly named game, Observation, is a great space horror mystery.
>>736477675>one had missing eyebrowsVery unusual
I like watching UFO documentaries or like people talking about alien encounters. I feel like there is an explanation behind everything, but some of them do sound real without a logical explanation. Some of them sound like bad drug trips that people don't admit to. "Oh, I was in the WOODS and I saw a CREATURE. It spoke to me. There were two of them. They had grey skin and big eyes, but I could understand them. They just STARED at me and then vanished." I mean, nobody would believe that. Or the ever popular "Yeah, I was camping and I saw lights in the sky. IT CAME CLOSER. A GIANT GLOWING SHIP APPEARED ABOVE ME. I was knocked out. I remember being on a ship. When I woke up, I was back at the campsite. I wasn't DRUNK. I felt like they had implanted something into me. It happened to my friend as well." Some of the stories are always the same. Either they were in the woods, or they were camping in a remote spot and had some kind of extraterrestrial encounter. They saw something or heard something. It just depends on how good of a storyteller they are and how believable they can make it sound. Hell, they still have UFO/alien conventions, and you always find nutjobs at them who have been abducted or raped. I'd imagine you'll find worse characters at those conventions than anime or furry conventions. The people at alien conventions are genuine nutjobs, like living in a shack and believing in a flat earth and fake moon-landing on top of other conspiracy theories like the government preserving JFK's head in a jar deep under the Pentagon or some bullshit like the Matrix.
>>736477675>Also, radiation was on their clothes. No, it wasn't. This is made up to make the mystery more mysterious.>Another group of hikers (about 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of the incident) reported that they saw strange orange spheres in the sky to the north on the night of the incident. Similar spheres were observed in Ivdel and adjacent areas continually during the period from February to March 1959, by various independent witnesses (including the meteorology service and the military). Also made up.What happened is they died in an avalanche/of hypothermia and then animals pecked away at their bodies. No great mystery.
>>736478454it's very hard not to believe someone like Bob Lazar, if he is lying he must be the most perfect sociopath ever
>>736478526
>>736478526Neither of those were made up. The radiation can be explained by few of the people having worked in that kind of environment, which was common at the time, and the orange spheres could have been parachute bombs, as Soviet Union tested weapons at that time in remote locations.
>>736479214>it must be true because AI, which just rehashes shit it reads on the internet, is saying its true and rehashing shit it read on the internetlolLink me this "official forensic test". And I'm curious as to why they would even do radiation testing in the first place.
>>736479214>AI as a source GMS!
>>736478259I keep trying to get my girlfriend to play this she's super into horror games but so far no luck. Also loved that game i can't even really figure out why it wasn't particularly crazy or anything I'm gonna have to replay it to make sure it still holds up

>>736477616There is a game called Kholat that is basesd on the Dyatlov Pass
>>736478454I forget what it's called but the ones i believe the most are the lumberjacks one and bob lazar. I forget the place the lumberjacks one happened but i think the fact they all kinda hate each other but have the same story leads credence to it i might be misremembering some details though. As for Bob i agree with >>736478565 if it turns out he's lying after all this time i couldn't even be mad at him it's too consistent in my book

It's one line in an article written by some guy that doesn't cite the source.>https://web.archive.org/web/20080226101529/http://www.sptimes.ru/story/25093Again just an article written by some guy making claims with no evidence.Anon, if your source is not a primary source it doesn't mean shit. When shit suddenly appears out of the blue in stories that are decades old and it was never there before and there is no primary source for it chances are someone just made it up at some point.
>>736478526It's always funny to me people think they just know what happened when literally no one knows what happened. I'm sure you've got it all figured out though
>>736478454>>736479628My favorite part about Lazar is the mysterious element he has buried in his backyard but won’t dig up because he’s totally “being watched” - despite it being the only piece of alleged evidence that would bring some credibility to his fantastical stories.I mean, if he could produce that, he would have ALL the credibility because, wow! A new element! But no, his “migraines” are just too much :(
>>736479312It literally says the links to the sources at the end of every section cmon retard
mountaineering horror stories are crazy>The 1967 Mount McKinley disaster involved seven climbers dying near the summit, with some found frozen in place in 1967, including one holding a tent pole. Another incident, likely referring to the 1985 Vail-Denali Expedition or similar tragic events, involved climbers having their gear torn away and bodies remaining frozen in upright, braced positions due to high windsThat must have been surreal to find them like that. There was also some dudes who were blown off the mountain never to be seen again by 300mph winds>based on lowland weather data collected, that the weather the seven climbers still on the high slopes faced may have been the worst conditions experienced by any mountaineers on recordthe went up not knowing it would be the worst storm in 100 years

>>736479663>when literally no one knows what happenedThey do know what happened. This is not some bizarre mystery where a corpse was found in the middle of nowhere with no apparent cause of death and no explanation for how it got there or something. It's a group of people that planned a hike and then went on a hike and then died of the very real risks you face while hiking. The idea there's some sort of mystery here is purely an invention of liars and charlatans.
>>736479703I dunno about that part but i doubt he has it because they would just take it while he's gone. I feel him on the migraines part i get them daily sometimes it's awful i wouldnt wish it on hitler
>>736478526But that would be a boring explanation
>>736479721>>736479765See>>736479652The only source that matters is a primary source. There's a reason all these "mysteries" only ever have secondary sources. They're literally just made up.
>>736479778There's a lot of speculation but no one knows
>>736478526>everything that was mysterious about this mystery was made up btw>source: my ass
>>736478526>>736479652>>736479818These details come directly from the preserved official 1959 case files of the Soviet criminal investigation (led by prosecutor Lev Ivanov in Sverdlovsk region), which are publicly available and translated on sites like dyatlovpass.com.

>>736479750That's fucking crazy I've been in a freak storm that never occurred before or since here on the ground and it was 170 some mph winds, i can't even begin to imagine almost 2x that with no shelter. I saw trees literally bent all the way so their tops were at ground level during that storm it was horrifying when you think how strong a mature tree is. What's crazy is one of the trees in my yard broke and the other one that was tip touching the ground just went completely back to normal after. You can tell it was 'traumatized' for awhile afterwards because it sent out tons of seeds and the particular kind of tree it is only does that when it thinks it's dying but it's still going strong. Anyways thanks for reading my blogtldr>been in 170mph winds before>can't even imagine 300mph pure horror
>>736479894>which are publicly available and translated on sites like dyatlovpass.comThey're all fabricated. They do things like claim a report as being signed by "chief radiologist of the city Levashov" when there's no such position.
