You are now on a timeline where instead of releasing countless handheld spinoff games, Square Enix released Kingdom Hearts III for PS2 in early 2007. What is different? Are things better or worse for the series?

The same team is assigned to Final Fantasy XIII with Nomura getting younger devs from the XII team to work with him on the KH team. Yoshinori Kitase and Motomu Toriyama are both rightly fired for suggesting a linear movie game with a solider protagonist and being unable to submit new ideas and gameplay systems to upper management for budgetary approval.
