Fuck you,
I am playing Kingdoms of Amalur right now, and its combat is a lot of fun.
You can actually use two weapons and magic on top of that, and different builds are fun to try.

The enemies aren’t super punishing, but you still have to be mindful or you’ll get trampled.
I don’t know why they couldn’t do the same in The Witcher 3 and other newer RPGs

I've cursed them for making every third person action game worse. Their bullshit has even infected other genres. Why the fuck do 2D sidescrollers need stamina bars and parry mechanics?
