He was an "adult" for a very short time. If you put a six year old's mind into a sixty year old's body for a week and then put them back, you wouldn't have an adult mind in a child's body, you'd have the mind of a child that remembers being taller for a week back in its own body.

Being tall doesn't make you an adult. Growing up does. The whole point of sending Link back at the end was to give him the opportunity to grow up naturally.

Minish Cap is a big stretch honestly, but in Zelda 2 it's canon. All other Zelda games it's either him with someone else or no romantic interest at all. The addition of "they always get together no matter what" is honestly really weird, the series never suggested that at all before SS.
