Did Monster Hunter Stories 3 end up being great? I'm looking for a new JRPG to play.
I'm about 7 hours in and I'm liking it a lot more than the second game. Reasonable QoL changes that don't sand the game down into bland accessibility. The gameplay isnt too drastically different, but everything about it feels more exciting. They tried making every combat animation as cool as possible. Story is decent so far. Japanese voice acting is good. They've also really nailed down the artstyle they've been going for, game has great visuals.

I've been playing 1. My god is the cat fucking annoying. I know they were going for a younger audience with 1, 2 and 3 seems to be a little more mature at least. Very addicting gameplay though

I loved 1, liked 2, and love 3 currently. Having Ogden in my party feels like cheating, but thanks to him I've felled a few Deviljhos and got some eggs and gear.
>>736501283play the demo. the final game is basically the same except for having a level cap of 99 on some fights that require a bit more strategy. You just have to be careful not to overlevel too hard in the actual game if you want it to be hard outside of a few fights.
