This is where Dawn of War actually peaked. Every faction had its focus and interacted with other factions in a fully coherent narrative, not just stronghold banter. Opting for a risk map in the next expansions, then going back to space marines for the sequel until its own expansion with a marine-centered narrative, just told from 6 perspectives, was a mistake.

Disagree.
>>
>>736501784
yea the risk map was always half assed and just felt like you were playing skirmish for 90% of the game
>>
>>736501953
It's skirmish made easy. The most difficult it can get is if you're on a big map where it can take you too long to kill one AI base with your starting units, so the other one builds up and either takes forever to kill (Chaos, Necrons) or walks out with 10 squads of fully upgraded banshees and kills you.

Yeah I agree. The campaign for wa was an improvement over 1 and was structured really well. The map system was kinda interesting in dc but got repetitive, it definitely isn't worth 7 replays for each race, and soulstorm was just a mess of a game on so many levels, the campaign got half assed as well.
Wa > 1 > dc > ss when it comes to campaign, easily.
>>
>best campaign
>best IG commander
>no tau or necrons
Yeah, it's the best
>>
also no unit limits
>>
I just remember eldar workers having a global teleport ability, which lets you nydus worm with webway gates whenever the fuck you feel like it. What were they THINKING.

>>736501784
dawn of war 2 was great
>>
>>736504875
there are necrons, just not playable
>>
>>736507226
for me, it's building a cloaked base behind the enemies base on kaisyr lutein every game
>>
>>736507285
>2 games where you're playing as marines
>second expansion lets you play as other races but almost none of the missions acknowledge the race you're playing
>>
>>736507285
for me to poop on
>>
>>736507226
And let's not forget fire dragons having a unit mass inexplicably the same as a squiggoth.

This is completely unrelated to DoW, when did they add this as a reward to the Eurac V puzzle in Rogue Trader?
>>
>>736507412
kek. It's funny how secondaries like >>736504875 who don't even play the games voice their opinions the loudest.
>>
>>736501784

I don't know.
Regardless after 40 minutes of beating first map because sororitas mechanics and roster making zero sense, the game just crashed. I'm uninstalling this pos.
