Coming afetr the godlike Kotor1, it was a real letdown. Everythign was smaller in scale and mind.

My only complaints are>Annoying flying mini game that does nothing to enhance gameplay. Not bad, just kind of pointless.>All combat is essentially the same. Really should have leaned more into different style combos for different effects, like Transformations only triggering after you execute a combo.>Dungeons feel TREMENDOUSLY short upon a replay. I revisited the game this year and was shocked how quickly I blitzed through the first half of the game. Not asking for filler, but another unique encounter or two in each quest would have gone a long way.Still, I have a very soft spot for Jade Empire. I like the style of it. I like BioWare trying something new. It has a playful tone but isn’t afraid to include “scary” areas and actually has stakes. I’d like to see a JE2 that continues off the Open Palm ending where it turns out that your actions have more or less caused the whole empire to implode after all the mechanisms held up by the Emperor finally collapse with his death.THOUSAND CUTS
