I know print media is basically dead but does anyone here on /v/ still get video game magazines in the mail every month? Do they even still do that?
i used to until they went woke
>>736507152I still have a bunch of issues from 2010 and fuck do I miss it. The pages still smell like 2010.
>>736506680they don't still do that no. It's an online only publication and has been for years
>>736506680i did buy a nintendo magazine until 2013, when it closed. another all-systems magazine shut down 1-2 years later too. sad because for 35% of its run it also had an hentai section and didn't shy away from decorating reader mail page with the pic of a bottomless girl in a library
>>736507343apparently they came back with a $70/year sub
>>736507343They've actually been doing physical for a while, but that seems to be US only
I used to subscribe to a few, and it was always something fun to look forward to each month. Now, though? Fuck the nostalgia, I'd rather flush my money down a toilet than support game journos in any capacity. If I wanted to pay someone to call me worthless scum, I'd hire a dominatrix. And I'd probably receive better gaming information and insights from her.
>>736509164the cover art used to be real nice some months and that used to be enough for me to sub but I highly doubt they have the same artists working there from 2011. And most games now that are featured for GameInformer don't have cool enough art. I'm glad I kept my little collection from back then though. I think I should frame them.
You posted the only magazine that still does subscriptions. In the US, anyway. Theres a few more in the UK.
