It wears its authenticity on its sleeve, enough so that the cringey writing comes off as amusing rather than grating. The plot isn’t amazing but it lifts enough from twin peaks and fire walk with me to be kino.

The soundtrack also got me to check out a bunch of different hipster indie bullshit bands I'd never listen to otherwise back in the day. It's just a great game. Shame all the direct and spiritual sequels sucked ass but oh well.
