honest question: why? I recently replayed crysis games back to back and while the first one was nothing special campaign-wise, the second one is outright bad and much worse than I remembered

A very funny thing to say about MW2 specifically since MW2 story is specifically about an American general seething so hard about nobody caring about the soldiers he lost in a previous war that he gets his own country blamed for a terrorist attack done by the russians so he can wage war against them for the love of the game
Calling it bland or pro-american ends up being funny in a game where the american is the bad guy

Crysis exists soley to showcase the power of the cryengine and nothing more, the games are glorified tech demos that tried really hard to find a spot between Halo and CoD but really couldn't since not a single person gives a shit about the story of crysis and the gameplay just isn't sandbox-y enough to have it stand out. Crysis 1 was but most people were unironically 2poor2play and Crysis 2 and 3 are consolized trash that's too linear to be anything but a corridor shooter + bow craze of the 2010s

Only gen x PCniggers hated these games. Literally everyone who owned a 7th gen console played CoD at some point.
>>736517296
The MW trilogy was USA/UK vs Ruskies and sandniggers. It painted the thirdies as a competent army meanwhile it's the opposite IRL even back in the 00's.

I've only played 2 on PS3 and it's nothing to write about except the graphics at that time being good.
>>
>>736517571
That's the whole point of Crysis. It's generic as possible but look, neat graphics!
They tried with 3 by actually making the gameplay not boring (they didn't manage to) and let you use alien guns.

I still think it shouldn't have been about gay retarded aliens.
>>
>>736517345
Crysis 2 was just really solid mechanically and had an acceptable 2010 action schmuck story/soundtrack.
Crysis 3 makes the player too powerful (predator bow), retcons the ending of 2, and relies on retarded plot twists and melodrama to keep the story going. It's still mechanically OK but since stealth is so OP you feel like you can just slide through encounters.

Shlock.

>Crysis 2 was just really solid mechanically and had an acceptable 2010 action schmuck story/soundtrack.
By removing any and all player agency and reducing the various suit ability to Cloak and Armour and the rest just contextual inputs? Crysis 1 had the decency to let you choose maximum strenght mode and fisticuffs and let you punch koreans into space. Crysis 2 has gay alien upgrades that to this day I can't remember being any goddamn use. AND the plot sucked balls but let's be real, Crysis lore is stupid.

let's not forget they also gutted veichles like tanks and planes. Turret sections though!
