ok, so the game looks good, now what?the basic gameplay of GTA will remain, and it's uninovative and boring as hell just as the basic gameplay in RDR2 has 0 depth, the entire game is just popping a snake oil or whatever other slow time boosting medicine you have, going into dead eye and headshotting each enemy one by one until you get to the next spawn point where another 5+ enemies spawn on horses or whatever and you rinse and repeat the deadeye headshot. GTA has a slight more complexity because there's more types of guns and vehicles to use and whatnot but fundamentally it's the same gameplay with essentially 0 depth. Your character doesn't really improve or change as you play a game like GTA / RDR and neither does the gameplay evolve.

GTA V was one of the weakest entries because its world was relatively static and boring, compared to GTA 4 before it, it was a lot less fun to just fuck around with random NPCs, car physics etc. RDR2 was enhanced by its wildlife but was similar because its inherently held back by its setting not having a wide variety of vehicles and weapons to fuck around with. RDR1 was at least a lot more satisfying to actually play than 2, with better shooting and NPC combat interactions as well. GTA 6 will likely have the weakest writing in the series and probably the same extremely linear set piece missions for the whole game as well so hopefully they can really nail the emergent/interactive part of messing around in the world.

There are many other things i could complain about like weight mechanics and inventory limits but the point is that the rockstar from 15 years ago isn't the same rockstar of today, they are obsessed with insignificant little details that ultimately add nothing to the experience and after playing sad cowboy sim 2018 i have basically no hopes for gta6
