BotW
>"Tech demo"
>"Shit story."
>"Boring walking simulator."
>"Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle."
>"Threw the baby out with the bathwater."
>"See that mountain? There's nothing on it!"
>"No variety. Just Bokoblins and Lizafos."
>"No enough to do."
>"Ending sucks"

TotK
>"Too bloated and tedious!"
> Hey guys "Demon King? Secret Stone?" Am I right haha!
>"Building is too clunky!"
>"Flying over everything is terrible (despite whining about "walking simulator" in previous game)
>"Depths and Sky have nothing".
>"Muh lore...is ruined"

These were the comments about the games after their launches. Why do people enjoy these games now? Hell, I've even seen people say these days that BotW's "emptiness" was good and set a mood. That only works once and doesn't hold up at all in replay. Is the so called "Zelda cycle" real?

>why were the opposing opinions the loudest?
truly a mystery
