Whether or not I have fun in the game feels completely random, but when I do it's a pretty cool game for $40 I can't complain. I kind of hope it fails and I get the $40 back rather than them dragging it out with no content

The devs don't want you to enjoy a very enjoyable game because everything in the game takes extra steps for no reason like the entire thing is made of childproof caps because they're afraid the players are too retarded to interact with any of it. The art direction is amazing and then the fucking individual design of the shells fucking suck. It's annoying identifying anyone from a distance especially after skins get involved and information is badly communicated by the shitty UI enough that they're already planning concessions. The gun play and maps are amazing and so is the movement and the way the game directs you around to create natural areas of high traffic but gearing is unintuitive and the contract levelling results in a natural grind you will repeat every season to be allowed to engage in the real content in a genre that requires high player counts. The game is too hardcore for most people but also does nothing to advertise itself to the hardcore.It's like they had a ton of talent involved but were told to do everything they could to use that talent to piss off the players

They did a hard pivot on the game halfway through when they hired Ziegler from Valorant to rape the game design.Initially it was supposed to have customizable shells, then changed it to hero shooty shit, and the trailers and advertising reflected that, which each shell's pilot being an in-universe character (like Glitch in the short film).But after the beta test they changed the premise, so apparently now (You) are the disembodied pilot that gets uploaded to digital bodies, and can swap them at will, and no in-universe characters exist.So the actual characters running these shells in the marketing and trailers are kinda in a weird limbo, is Glitch supposed to be just a runner?
