Yeah the gameplay wasn't great but the aesthetics and most importantly the chemistry between Elika and the Prince really carried it. It was actually one of the first 360 games I ever played

it was a mostly-okay back-to-basics for Prince of Persia that's elevated to being actually good because Elika and the Prince carried it there.
I've at least got fond memories of it even though I never found the patience to finish it.
overall a compelling proof for my position that while a bad game can't be saved by story and visuals, a "good enough, I suppose" game can be made "a good game" by story and visuals.

can't believe people complained that you "couldn't die" in this game because she "rescues" you if you fail a platforming segment. What a stupid fucking criticism, as if you didn't have to restart the entire segment if you failed, or if there was a death screen you wouldn't just have to click load save and restart at a checkpoint, so dumb.

I really liked that PoP game though, always felt it was underrated. Great art direction, the music was nice, the story was good and the setting interesting enough. I liked it and I'm tired of all the hate people had for it for seemingly no real reason.
