The days of consoles and games getting cheaper has passed. Game consoles are now $650 plus the tip, new games take forever to make, cost a billion dollars and arent even good. Game devs with 20+ years experience are unemployed. GTA6 is going to be delayed again.

In times such as this, there are only two types of gamers: those with an enormous backlog to climb like Mount Everest, and those who own nothing and have decided to take up board games. Gaming is now only for the rich... or the well prepared.

Like bears thriving through harsh winter on berries and nuts, we gamers must endure this period of uncertainty. The economy will eventually straighten out, the AI bubble will crash and hardware will drop in price, over many years. Likely early 2030s. Until then, that backlog you never thought you'd beat? Youre going to beat every single game.
