I really don't like how dedicated they are to having literally no evolution from Everquest 1. They are bound and determined to go hard on the worst form of gameplay ever popularized by MMOs, the "camp" concept where you just sit in a room and pull monsters to your safe spot over and over for hours on end with no variation of gameplay. I literally got into an argument on their gay Discord months ago and tapped out as soon as I realized they considered it a feature, not a bug.

Every memorable time experienced from these boomer mmos has to do with active adventuring and using your brain; making a difficult corpse run, navigating through the wilderness, planning and executing a journey, fighting your way to the bottom of a dungeon, using all the tools available to your character and your own mental acuity to accomplish these things, and the devs themselves will tell you that they want that sort of thing, but their brains turn to boomer mush as soon as the subject of "camping" comes up.

They LITERALLY see nothing wrong with having a game that demands mental engagement in every other element of the gameplay experience EXCEPT for combat, and then reward the most boring version of that combat to the point where nobody wants to do anything else except do it over and over for hours on end.

Good for them on making a game for other brain damaged boomers who wish they were 15 again, but I'll make a hard pass on it.

I Tried M&M, but having not played EQ, only Vanilla WoW it was too clunky for me. Pantheon looks ok.... never heard about it until your post.

I tried the latest free weekend and really enjoyed it. Excited for it to finally release, I need something to distract me.
