I grew tired of WindowsI've been using Windows since 98SE, and Linux on and off and on and off back and forth. And hackintosh for a whole year. This time instead of using linux for an extended period of time and then going back to Windows, I went back to Windows for a few days, found it was worse in too many ways, and had to actually go back to Linux. This is unprecedented. You don't know how much of a duckling I am. For windows to get this fucking bad it's something else.I'm even exploring the idea of getting a macbook. That's right, keeping my main machine as a gayming machine and using macOS for other general tasks. Mainly because there's a few things (specially productivity software) where I don't actually mind paying for some occasional program that works better than the FOSS alternative. I actually wish macOS had something like Proton but linux is king right now on that field.

Been on Linux for a year now and overall shit just works. There's some small things that I simply haven't tried to fix, like numlock turning off after login. I've had one game that took me a while to get running(Dragon's Dogma 2), but that was because steam carried over some config from my windows install that tried to load mods that weren't installed anymore.Meanwhile the windows PC at the office shits itself every day. Constantly spending multiple minutes booting/shutting down without any user feedback, requires hard shutdowns after updates, explorer just freezes sometimes, and so on. Internet connection has been spotty at the office lately and somehow going offline causes the taskbar to freeze and eventually the fucking desktop to crash.
