So I've been on a bit of a Final Fantasy bender lately i've finished both 16 (which i've now beaten twice) and then went back and played 15 which i just finished today for the first time.Interested to hear /v/'s opinion on this game. For me 15 was very lackluster, it just felt like it was missing literally everything that made 16 an absolute banger of an FF game. 15 just has so many frustrating elements....Combat felt very awkward and clunky and took me a long time to get used to which usually doesn't happen to me with an FF game....On top of that the story is shallow, the characters very forgettable, especially when they're all virtually wearing the same outfit and the same color, just black all round, no variety to really differentiate anyone....the world is mostly bland and uninteresting except for a couple of major towns... You spend SO MUCH time in the car just watching the characters drive to whatever location they're going to... You're constantly making unexpected stops driving around because Prompto wants to take photo's of literally fuckin everything..... It costs gil just to fast travel too, fuck me.....This game just feels like it came up short in every single department.... Truly pathetic work from Square Enix...

>>736531483It is unique. There's nothing quite like it, and for that reason it is interesting. I haven't played it since all the updates and so I can't say if it's good, but it's interesting. I'm happy with that.
>>73653148315 and 16 and 7R aren't Final Fantasy
Of course Reddit spacing guy thinks 16 was an absolute banger.
>>736531483I did something similar. I played 16 first and then 1516 was quite good especially the soundtrack 15 came up short. The fucking combat was aweful. personally 16 was quite good contrary to what v says
>>736531483Buddy this is some crafted bait for the sctizo himself right here but it might be to obvious.
>>736531837/v/ hates 16 less for the game itself and more because during the pre-release marketing Square said the quiet part of out loud about their stance on Turn Based games since the 7th gen and old FF fans took it personally
There hasn't been a good numbered Final Fantasy in over 20 years.
>>736531483I never touched it during the original releade cause I heard the complains. I ended up watching the kingsglaive movie first (wasted potential cause the action sequences have a fucked up shaky camera, but still gave me some backstory). I ended up buying the royal edition on sale, and its funny how once you understand whats going on, the story is very straightforward, just presented in a retarded way with stufg happening off screen and so on. Combat is decent although I liked 16 and 7R better, but Noctis warp feels so good, and I love how magic affects the terrain, biggest miss in subsequent FF games. Summons are cool as well. Enemy design goes from good to meh. Music is good, fishing is amazing.Speaking of that, what this game does best is the roadtrio feeling of exploring the world and camping with the bros, thata the most fun part.

>>736531483I fucking hate FF15however 16 is very much just a mid entry. Way too many flaws with it to be considered actually good, it's "okay"
