People on here are part of the reason why its going extinct and digital will be the new standard.
Digital is objectively superior in all aspects.

>>736532106You 'own' the same license to run the software as you do with a disc. Read the terms of service printed in the manual, retard.
okay
>>736532106*copies all my DRM free games to all of my PCs on my network without leaving my chair*this sure is worse than having to physically insert discs just to play my videogames /s
>>736531652Convenience just naturally takes over most things and physical media is a formality at best. Like nobody needs CDs or blu rays anymore either, why do they need game disks. Sure the boxes are nice, the paper manuals are nice, going to a store full of peripherals and gaming shit is sort of nice, it's an experience. But it is not necessary at all and hasn't been. GameStop can't be Steam. It was designed for a different era and will go the way of Blockbuster. They would have to sell you shit cheaper than you can get online as a download to be competitive and can't. Places like Best Buy are still around because you may want to actually go interact with some physical thing you want to use and they match anything on Amazon. But unless you wanted to go hold a console controller or dildo or something this has no analogue in GameStop.
