You could do more builds, NPCs had their own inventory and you could actually talk to them and they would change depending on your actions. Elder Scrolls has a better sandbox foundation for more sovl emergent moments. Even Dragon's Dogma 2, for all its faults, beats Crimson Desert heavily here. CD certainly has the most scale out of them all, but its meaningless if the sandbox foundation is comparatively much weaker than either DD and ES.

Skyrim wont be obsolete as a modding platform until a better modding platform sandbox RPG comes along. I don't see that happening anytime soon. Crimson Desert are likely too scared to reveal too much about their engine which is kek because the only way they'll ever be a big player is to put this into the hands of modders asap.
