It's going to be different from the original and that's ok.

Honestly doesnt need a remake, but since in the age of remakes we are gonna get one anyway, i hope it leans more onto the child/adult mechanic. Its unfortunate original only used it for the spirit temple.
>>
>>736576350
Yeah, the problem is I replayed the game so much when it came out that I burnt myself out of the game forever. I didn't own many games and it was so good I turned it into shit in no time lol.
>>
>>736576360
>You have to be 25+ to play the remake
Thank God, gives Zelda larpers the time to go back and play other Zelda games to refine their tastes.
>>
>>736576410
This is why I don't like the "it doesn't need a remake" argument. You get tired of playing the same game a dozen times, you want another take on it. Usually because the franchise fails to deliver another game as good as that one years later. Like RE4. The best RE game since RE4 was RE4 remake to me.
>>
>>736576484
Preach, I also played through Wind Waker and Majora's Mask a few times but they're not the same. I love TP, and I force myself not to replay it for nearly a decade at a time.
>>
>>736575985
It's going to be a port of the 3DS version with almost no changes for 70 dollars, mark my fucking words
>>
>>736575985
There's nothing more pointless than a remake which isn't different from the original.
>>
It will be a remake using the 3ds game as a base with new higher fidelity models. I doubt they will build something from the ground up. Nintendos too cheap for that but maybe I’m wrong.

It's Monolith Soft doing it, isn't it? They revealed more of the people that worked on Zelda titles and their roles, and removed the recruitment ad for a Zelda project (which was there since 2019).
https://x.com/MONOLITHSOFT/status/2040963946690289882
So instead of a Grezzo upscale, it's a whole new take on a Zelda done by someone outside of Nintendo's primary development team.
>>
>>736577204
That's an irrational prediction. Nintendo is retarded in a lot of ways but they know Ocarina of Time is iconic. Why the hell would they make entirely new assets for random games like Mario RPG and Thousand Year Door and not Ocarina of Time?
>>
A full-on OoT Remake being slated for this holiday could explain Nintendo's stingy news cycle recently. That'd be a hell of a giganuke to drop, and could hamper attention for Tomodachi and especially Yoshi if it got announced before they came out.
>Be sure not to miss out on THIS eggs-elent adventure, when Yoshi and the Mysteriou-

>>
>>736579195
What's up with companies outsourcing remakes of their most iconic games to a random developer? It started off like this with the FF7 remake and the RE4 remake, until they had the sense to make it in house. In this case, it seems they stuck with Monolith Soft since the game is supposed to release this year, but it's a little different because they're pretty much Nintendo now, and there's probably a lot of key developers involved.
>>
None of the Nintendo remakes were too different from the original, so I doubt

>>736579195

Weak bait.Monolith developed both BotW and TotK.

no wonder it's soulless and lacks the feeling of a Zelda game.

They assisted with asset creation. Not the core design of BotW/TotK.
Just in December they had an interview where the Nintendo guy said in the coy manner "wouldn't it be cool if Monolith did a Zelda from the start?". That was basically their way of hinting that it was already in the works.
Stick your head in the sand, when I'm right I'll be posting snapshots of every doubter. I am that petty.

There's a reason why Monolith is suddenly advertising how much of a role they've had in Zelda games. And posting interviews with various devs on what their roles were.
They're working on a new Zelda, and a big selling point will it'll be more led by Monolith than Nintendo.

I really hope Monolith, if they're behind this, bring in Yusuke Nakano for the official art again and to help with the design direction of models.

4 REmake was awesome but I think I like 2 REmake best.
>>
I'd like to see some more enemy variety. Not that OoT was too sorely lacking in that area, but there's definitely potential to do more, especially if it's a full-on remake.
>please actually populate Hyrule Field with a meaningful and diverse enemy presence, including sticking them into grottos (make those unique too, but that's a different issue, though I'll say that I liked the general direction the hack Sealed Palace took them in)
>give enemies that were originally similar to others more unique functionality (make Gibdos move fast like they used to in 2D games, give Dinolfos their fire breath from Majora's Mask, have the reviving Stalfos wear different colors and let their remains be killable with Bombs before they resurrect like in LttP, etc)
>have more "level 2/3" variants of enemies in later areas, including maybe exclusive new levels in Master Quest if that concept is brought back
>bring back some more classic enemies (Lynels, Wizzrobes [no not their goofy designs or moves from Majora's Mask], Zols/Gels, land Octoroks, etc)
>>

Those grottos were pretty fun. Some actual platforming challenges to be rewarded with a Heart Piece at the end.

I actually think it'd be a really cool moment if the room was set up as a callback to SW2000. Not necessarily an exact recreation, but have a big (probably breakable) banquet table as part of the scene, and I think other oldfags would genuinely lose their fucking minds.

Because publishers exist to strip the reputation from the creators and will at most slap the label of "creator" on one or two easily controlled people, usually whatever narcissistic janitor cleans up best in front of a camera.
The "original company" no longer exists and no longer possesses the talent that made the game, so it effectively doesn't matter if the remake is passed to more efficient mobile shovelware devs.
>>736580404
There was no "core design of BotW/TotK", the fact that they worked on asset creation means that they contributed most of the filler required to create something that was actually a functional game.

No.

Unless they record new analog/digital master data from analog samples there are no more remasters in any way that is relevant, everything else is either a remake or a straight port.
