Just wait until they "Girls get it done!" it. Hell, just wait for the "Strong female smirk as she takes over a man's role," at the very end. I can deal with a lot of the Kojima, "It's just a game guys!" stuff, but he definitely drank the Hollywood, "Women are always the primary victims of war and reality, but we are also super strong," bullshit in this one.
>>
For some reason I felt so much worse for the Hydrologist in DS2 compared to Heartman, having to projectile vomit every 21 minutes sucks ass, would she have to feed herself via a intravenous bag or something since she's just throw up whatever she ate before it could pass through her stomach? How does she even sleep without aspirating?

I know heartmans would probably be worse in reality, even if it was somehow viable to keep reviving someone from heart failure, but in DS1 at least its portrayed so casually like its just him passing out or something, its only really in DS2 that we see the process actually take a physical toll on him, and even then its apparently only because he was straining himself more than normal for a while.

>>
Just beat DS2. The cutscenes and vibe of the game are great, but the gameplay is so bad. It has potential but it's just designed so poorly. The roads/monorails/mine stuff is just completely pointless. The level design lets you just drive around almost everything besides the bosses. Even in the last mission I just drove around all of the enemies on the bridge and the game just continues and despawns them all. The game would have been so much better if the final mission was to build the bridge to the final area be getting thousands of the materials from the mines basically forcing you to rebuild the infrastructure around Australia.

Clarify something for a poorfag who can't play the game yet.

I've been watching a few videos of the Neil Vana boss fights, these are different people playing the game and every single time they're packing full stacks of cargo on their backs, with no attempt of leaving the cargo behind to fight, why is that? no backpack pouches? just normies who don't care?
>>
>>736588193
The times you fight Neil are in dream sequences where you are trapped in an arena. So you have to bring it with you until the fight is over

Chronobiotes made every boss fight hitless once you unlocked them. Not even remotely balanced. You can pick up like 180 within 15 mins or something. And Sam eats one at a time, basically infinite slowmo

I started just straight up taking my backpack off. I’ll go someplace safe that thief won’t take my shit and just leave my backpack there. Its literally just metal gear solid at this point with some deliveries thrown in. DS1 at least felt like its own game with some lite metal gear elements thrown in.
But now it seems Kojima has gone right back to making what he always has.
The whole ghost mechs are literally just introduced out of nowhere in the lore so Kojima can do his robot mechs again.
Still, I like the game a lot. Currently on 263/400 TTW.

DS3 should have a pvp capture the flag gamemode with melee only where the flag is a piece of cargo and you can build PCC structures on the arena

I gotta put Mr. Impossible on the board, and then mop up the last 5-6 preppers I have to 5-star, but that'll be easier now that I don't have the DHV stop-starting itself to the games story pacing.

>>736589495
Yeah MGSV is the obvious answer but it’s still not 1:1.

V has the same open map, outpost infiltration, cargo management autism, and “approach any objective however you want” design. The way you scout routes and plan around patrols in DS2 feels straight lifted from Afghanistan/Zaire.

But DS leans way harder into traversal as the core gameplay loop. In MGSV the sneaking is the point and the terrain is an obstacle. In DS the terrain *is* the gameplay and the sneaking is just seasoning.

If you liked clearing MGS V outposts non-lethally at 3am while listening to tapes, you’ll vibe with Death Stranding. If you wanted tight corridor stealth like 1–3, you’re gonna be disappointed.

V is basically the skeleton DS grew out of.

The combat wasn't even changed, it's the same but with more tools. The new tools and pizza moves are fun yes, but a sequel to DS1 really didn't need that much combat.

>>736590875
They make you invisible to BTs for a bit, even catchers.
>>
>>736590821
It doesn't need to be radically different. People that like the series know what they're getting.

Kojima just needs to sand down/fix the combat, since that was where the game would slam into a brick wall (IMO) each time you were forced into combat situations. Ghost Mech or BT's. Both fucking blew.

>>736590875
Stops BT's from detecting you, but Sam loses HP in the process.

Worthless since you can just hold your breath and boomerang the BTs, nagga. Just hold your breath hahahahahahaha.

>>736590821
Doesn't the ending imply you would play as Tomorrow? You would probably get weird tar powers. A Death Stranding 3 needs to just focus on automating shit like factorio or satisfiactory. Also completely remove vehicles or severely nerf them, they are boring and solve too much of the game.

>>736591045
>just focus on automating shit like factorio or satisfiactory.
It's kind of crazy Monorails can't be used if you're sending cargo down the line. You'd think the Power of the PS5™ would have enough RAM to hold one train going one direction, and your train going another.

Also kind of crazy the Architect will repair structures but not the goddamn road/monorails.

A big issue with the fact that this is a sequel is that all of the mystery and wonder of the game's world that were present in the first game is completely gone. You already know how the world works, what happened, what BTs are, what BBs are, why they're here, how they work. it's all already known, so there's not much left to speculate on now. Oh well.

Sam is dealing with complex PTSD and psychotic delusions over Lou's death in DS2 while Dollman (who has lived through losing his own child) acts as his therapist and gently guides him through his grief, he nags you all the time because canonically Sam just stops and gives up without the encouragement, he has already killed himself at least 6 times in the interim before Fragile comes to him and makes her offer.

Frankly, the vehicles being powerful is only a part of the problem. I’m sure you guys also noticed this, but almost every logical route has what is effectively a prescribed truck path. Every single cliff and hill and ledge has an extremely wide, perfectly flat point you can ascend it on. Unless you’re on the mountain, most of the land is flat or is terrain that doesn’t actually present a threat, like the sand dunes. This means that not only are vehicles powerful, but theyre versatile enough that there’s no reason whatsoever not to use them. If vehicles were really powerful for only 20% of deliveries, I probably wouldn’t use them, because I optimize for the 80% unfortunately, vehicles are the best option for 98% of deliveries. If you’re going between the government and the first observatory, all you’re missing out on by taking a truck is walking in the same direction for a longer period of time with less cargo capacity. The route has no gameplay. The same can be said for the pioneer to the motherhood. C1 to the Bokka. What we need more than anything else is a more difficult map that constantly disrupts vehicle use outside of places where you’ve built roads. Try driving a truck from one end of the tutorial area in death stranding 1 to the other. There are actually several points where it’s very hard to continue because there’s a ridge you have to go through, or that really rocky BT zone near the end. You can basically drive from any prepper to any other proper with almost no difficulty in the sequel, aside from a couple on the mountain, who all CAN be driven to easily, just not from any direction. I beat the game on TTW and my stats say that I only ever built four ladders. We need more cliffs, more large gaps, more things that you can’t just drive over. They don’t actually need to nerf or remove the vehicles, they just have to make it so that they can’t go freaking everywhere..
>>
>>736590958
I just shot everything with the assault rifle. Everything else seemed pointless. I shot the mechs with rocket launchers and it took longer than just shooting them with the assault rifle. I didn't even kill any BTs in DS2, I just drove or walked around them. The enemies with the shields... I just shot them with an assault rifle and it barely took more shots than a normal enemy.

>>736591758
>they just have to make it so that they can’t go freaking everywhere..
Honestly, the only time I was annoyed with vehicles was the mountain and that's because of how sheer some climbs were to where the truck would slide like it was hitting ice up there without the spiked tires.

I don't think vehicles are necessarily the problem. People want to FedEx? That's their choice. I do agree that traversal should be changed, I think Kojima and team went too far in the other direction after 1 was criticized with all the rocks in the way of some routes that would make sense to be able to vehicle through (to where Bike was better off road than the Truck, which makes sense, but even the Truck would hop over the small rocks just was annoying as fuck to do) to where now there wasn't really any "walls" beyond sudden drops.

There has to be a good balance between the two that doesn't annoy one or the other. They sort of tried with the Zipline QoL improvement but didn't elsewhere.

The higher in difficulty you go, the more bullet sponge enemies become.

Shock Bola beats MULES and Ghosts until the Ghost Dogs appear (the ones with a coffin), to where using a AR or LMG (or preferably the lock on launcher and some distance) is better than shooting them in the head with a shock bola after that point.

BT's are Rocket->AR for the rocket blood grenade buff (or using AR/Blood Grenades like early game).

I thought the Firecracker grenade was neat, but... it isn't a grenade, so you have to equip it like a primary so becomes very annoying to set up for what it was trying to do.

The missions in general are not designed very well. They added the monorails but there is only 1 mission that makes you carry so much shit you have to use it. So making all of the other monorail tracks is pointless.

I played on the 2nd highest one... the enemies didn't have much HP. The highest difficulty doesn't let you change it so fuck that. I had no idea how hard it would be and I wasn't getting stuck half way through the game.
>>
>>736591934
A newly minted god of death/the apocalypse has the rotten misfortune of being born as a human and suffers a moral quandary over fulfilling its natural compulsion to end the world.

It recruits two men as its avatars, one representing its humane and compassionate side and the other representing its innate desire to kill, and puts them in battle against eachother to decide what to do.

The humane avatar is a postman and you play as him.
>>
>>736592145
The fact the Monorails don't have connections is also a smidge annoying. The only connection is a road, so at that point you're having to carry shit to certain centers (which will be warpable eventually) and then carry by road to the next one to cut down some travel time.
>>
>>736592197
That's the base games original hardest difficulty. TTW is a new addition (and clearly wasn't really play tested with the damage rate you gain).

The games "easy" once you understand the combat system. It's just boss/enemy values are tuned too high to where they're a chore to get through.

Honestly, I groaned when I had to face a BT/Boss compared to 1 which felt like even on Brutal/Very Hard that they weren't taking 10-15 mins to go through.
>>
when i saw the ttw menu option of 'you can't change it once you start' i knew it was gonna be a meme mode.

dunno man I like the ziplines around that area and actively use them over the truck. I accepted like 5 standard orders at once from the mechanic/motherhood/pioneer and ziplined to the mine, sent all the cargo to F4 since it was part of the destination then drove down south to resume repairing the road. Red line in pic related is my zipline network all the way to the pizza chef.

If there's a delivery from anywhere around F4 and further to the Pioneer I just take the surfboard and cruise around the open seas(blue line).

nah the curved zipline is a massive buff. increasing the distance would be nice but I can understand keeping it at 350m since curved ziplines pretty much means you can draw a straight line regardless of the terrain.
Also it's just 6 ziplines including the online one in the picture until Pekora. Might actually shift over the line to the Mechanic though, since it would be nice to quickly zoom and rape the Brigand camp. Might even be able to subtract one zipline since the hill isn't in the way.

The game gives you a fuck ton of bandwidth anyways. I'm at like 50k? and around 60-70% is just generators so I can farm likes and also not give likes.

>>736591758
My main problem with vehicles is that there's just too much stuff laying around and if you pick it all up you will be spending most of your time messing with menus, putting it on carriers and whatnot, and that is even if it all fits. And on a truck with sticky guns you just ride around.
>>
>>736593812
You wouldn't have to do so many lost cargo deliveries if half the standard orders weren't locked behind post-game.
>>
>>736593812
its even better when you get mountain gloves and you can pick up chiralium from the truck as well. i still like coffin for surfing the desert waves, i'll just park my truck at pioneer's place, unload a coffin, and surf around grabbing shit. it's a shame you can't repair the coffin at facilities and have to keep fabbing new ones over and over, it just annoying.
>>
>>736591758
Vehicles should be powerful. I should be able to drive the truck up the 35 degree flat mountain. But oh no, the game literally fucks with the physics if you try to take a vehicle where you arent supposed to. Know you up the mountain the game wants you to walk. Too bad the studio can suck a fat cock because im forcing the vehicle up the perfectly smooth path with zero rocks.

>>
This might sound strange, but I almost wish that the levels were designed with less care. It took me a while to notice in the first game, but in this game, the areas are very clearly hand designed. everything‘s just the right height to serve a clear gameplay purpose, there are obvious truck paths, obvious climbing paths, I feel like I can read the developers a little too much, and it reduces the act of traversal to picking from a set of discrete options. I’d honestly be super down for a game mode where it randomly generates an environment and there’s one delivery in it or something, and then it builds you a new environment. There’s so many tools that I really don’t mind weird maps, I just want more land to conquer.

It was kind of bizarre how barely anything happens the whole plot until the finale, it was reminding me of KH3. Tomorrow gets minimal characterization and rainy and tarman both stop having anything interesting to do or say the moment you get their back stories. Like the first game, the only memorable characters are Deadman and Fragile.

Leaving the plot aside, they did nothing to address the first game's major balance issues with zip lines, roads and vehicles ruining the late game. I was really hoping the increased focus on natural disasters and weather would make degradation matter but the earliest things I placed in Mexico are only just now breaking down as I'm finishing up 5 starring the last few shelters in australia. I was kind of disappointed by the game overall but I did still enjoy it for the most part. Woodkid's stuff was fine but it didn't really hold a candle to low roar's work, his death really hung over the entire game for me, I found myself thinking about it a lot.
>>
>>736600185
Which is funny, because Sam's first interaction with Tomorrow ( repeatedly stopping her from leaving via the elevator by using his body) could easily be interpreted as Sam being sexually forward with Tomorrow.
>>

He's the only one you can pick. People don't realise it's a forced choice because everyone picks Die-hardman first.

Why is this walking simulator so popular? You can't ever fall, the game automatically manages the weight for the player and thank Allah I pirated it, because I can't imagine how *easy* it would be with all of the free shit people apparently put on the map.
>>
>>736600606
> ruining the late game
hell they ruin the early game too unless you intentionally avoid using them to keep up some semblance of challenge/variety.

In mexico once you get the trike you can drive basically anywhere, and if you're online there's charge stations all over so you never have to worry about running out of batteries.

Australia makes it a bit tougher especially if you're using the truck, but even then there are still multiple routes possible all around for vehicles regardless of whether you've built the roads up or not.

Like sure it's nice to see rainy had her kid and tomorrow's doing well but the implications for the broader setting seem to be that society within the chiral network is doomed to stagnation and/or extinction. Kind of a grim note to go out on considering how much they love to talk about how great it is to connect people to each other.

I still don't get if Sam is supposed to be the only repatriate or not. He seems like he's supposed to be but then why do they have a dedicated term for what he is like it's a thing commonly known about. If he is the only repatriate, 2 casts some unfortunate implications back at 1's plot since it seems like now Bridget intentionally made Sam immortal just to steal his baby. Also if the whole idea of the BB's is to have a "stillmother" then the fact they killed Sam's wife kind of ruins their whole plan, so why do they act like they're still going to be able to do it after she died? And why is Lou able to sense BTs in 1 if she doesn't have a stillmother? Surely she's just a baby at that point, not a BB.

I was disappointed the sequel didn't have more optional peppers, they were my favorite part of 1. In general I wish the game let you progress in a less scripted manner. Maybe have the distribution centers, cities, and observation outposts be the story bits and all the preppers be optional and entirely left to the player's discretion.
>>

>>736602013
I'm surprised they never did a surprise reveal of someone being a repatriate. It would have been nice if they had Higgs win against Lou during their 2nd fight and actually kill her, only for Lou to revive after he leaves. Higgs loses too much in cutscenes in DS2, so giving him a quasi win in that respect adds back some of the villain credibility he was hemorrhaging throughout the game.

I honestly don’t even mind DS2, as a big DS1 fan. My biggest problems with DS2 are that Australia is too plain whereas America felt more dense and forced you to actually path your way around obstacles; Australia also feels too “realistic” whereas America looked more surreal and almost mystical; Dollman’s entire existence; and the fact you play as Sam when Sam already got his happy ending in the first game. Though I guess the two latter problems are nonissues, the real problem is world design and aesthetic

I guessed Charlie was Die-Hardman from the forced choice at the start, I assumed he was on the ship since if you try going in the storage room (from the map) he panic calls telling you to stay away because of "chrial contamination", plus the ship inhabitant count was 8, initially I thought Tarcat didn't count but later I got the scene that implies Tarcat MAYBE has the Ka of Tarman's son so I wasn't too sure.
When I got the SSS post about Charlie on the VR scoreboard I thought Kojima was being so unsubtle that Charlie being Die-Hardman was actually a red herring, but when I closed the post I and saw the DHV Magellan the idea came to me and I thought it was too funny not to be Die-Hardman Vessel.

They can always just pull something out of their ass to nerd Tomorrow’s powers, like how Fragile suddenly lost the ability to Beach jump.
But I kinda agree on the vehicles. Most players had the same problems in the first game as well, they’re simply incapable of thinking for themselves and simply NOT using trucks all the time. DS2 had the same problem but it was more egregious because trucks suddenly drive better and have more cool little features. They’re just too tempting for people to not use. Since the first game, I’ve imposed a rule to myself to never drive trucks off-roads. I’ll drive down the road then once I can’t get any closer to the destination, I just park the truck there, grab my cargo from the back, then walk the rest of the way, then walk back to my truck. You could sort of force players to do something like that - treating the truck more like a train or a monorail.
>>
Do they not reissue main orders as standard orders in the post game in DS2 like they did in DS1? I haven't seen any yet since I finished the plot.
>>
>>736601065
thats not remotely how the scene went down
>>
>>736602574
No, actually. That's why he was so much better in DS1. He never fights directly. He commands BTs fight for him. He puts on a disguise and tries to trick you into delivering a nuke. He has flashback cutscenes where he tortures Fragile. He shows up after Sam thinks he won, steals Amelie, slaps her butt, shoots Lou half to death and leaves Sam to bleed out while walking away. He only gets his hands dirty right at the end. It all adds up to him being a competent, threatening villain that's worth fighting. DS2 Higgs was flanderised and defanged by comparison.
>>
Quick question about combat and stealth likes, I noticed that you get them from beating enemies even if it was totally unrelated to the order, so can you double dip on the reward? Can I take 10 orders, park the truck, take out 5 bandit camps, and have that count as 50 camps of bandits cleared, or does the game remember that it already have you the reward for that enemy?
>>
>>736602106

I think another thing worth considering is making cargo more sensible to damage in trucks when you’re off-roading, to a point where you’ll get an A rank on a delivery taking you off road. Think of it like frozen cargo, it automatically takes damage when out in the sun, you could make it so cargo automatically takes tiny amounts of damage as you’re driving off-roads. This would encourage players to stick to the roads and walk the rest of the way on foot. Not every delivery has to be like this, but enough so that people aren’t always complaining about how trucks trivialize everything

See, I don’t get this. Why do people min-max this game this hard? This isn’t some PvP extraction shooter or a gacha game with a set amount of tasks you have to do each day or GTA Online with all its different methods of making money, this is a game about FUN. It’s literally Kojima Studios’s figurehead, the Fag- I mean, Homo Ludens, latin for “Playing Man”, is supposed to represent work and play, not one or the other. You should’ve realized by now that Death Stranding isn’t a game to be min maxed and have all the fun sucked out of. Grab a boost skeleton and a staff and beat the shit out of Demens, skate down a mountain with a cargo container and jump off a ramp, take your backpack off and see how long you can go without it, go full OSP/Subsistence on camps just for the fuck of it, save the staff enemies for last then go full Duel of the Fates on them. Death Stranding and especially Death Stranding 2 are all about fucking around and having fun. Not to be running around with a shock bola gun like some metacuck. Like John Nintendoman once said - if it’s not fun, why bother?

Higgs actually has it really difficult as an antagonist. Imagine your rival just being immortal and also having to hold back against him, then going all out and he still wrecks your shit. And he has a stupid band of friends that are against you while you have no one. Even Amelie was with Higgs only like 50%.
>>
>>736608263
Plus even he admits in their first proper encounter in DS2 that he knows he can't really 'beat' or kill Sam, and is therefore just trying to settle for being a menace and making his life miserable. He's 100% shameless in his actions and knows it too, which seems fitting for his current mental state.

On the bridge fight towards endgame you get that mech boss again. Except it spawns two coffin mechs from the tar. Quickly kill those two using chronobiotes and rocket launcher. Then pick up their Heavy MGs and with chronobiotes absolutely melt that bosses hp in seconds. Its absolutely insane. Dunno why they even let you have access to Heavy MGs during it. Still was fun though.
Plus also don't understand all these people saying that bosses have bloated hp. They've all been fine.
>>
>>736609000
I mean, not when you think about it. He demonstrates that he can just teleport into the DHV anytime. There's no reason he couldn't do that and leave a bomb or just kill the non-repatriates.

That's not all that different from DS1. Higgs' actions there aren't aimed at killing Sam. He summons BTs to eat Sam while he's close to a Knot, which would trigger an explosion big enough to destroy the place. He tries to make Sam nuke a critical city. He attacks again when Sam is trying to take Lockne to Mountain Knot, which would vaporise Lockne and fuck with her plans to get the umbilical chord and data to Heartman. Sam was always a repatriate. Higgs worked around that in DS1.

I'm playing DS1 for the first time and I feel like many of the segments are too easy thanks the vehicles. Even without roads I've been doing pretty much everything with a truck or bike since I got to the first central zone mule camp, I'm at the mountain city distro center now these things can get you most of the way to anywhere and the cargo capacity is great. Just been putting down generators and the very occasional ladder bridge for the bike. I have a box of climbing anchors from the first zone that has almost been destroyed by time fall without all being used up. Am I doing something wrong or is this the intended loop? I feel like with all the new boots and guns and ladders and buddy bots I've got that the game wants me to walk more but I just haven't needed them.

I also wish there was an option for reducing the number of shared structures without completely deleting them, there's bridges and signs fucking everywhere, useless bridges in places that are obviously just to farm likes. I almost never need to build anything but generators when I get way out in the boonies, it feels like litter.

>Never found lost cargo for them until I finished the story.
Yeah, IDK what is with Mr. Impossible. But I totally found BPAS' lost cargo right before hitting Terminal Knot/F8. There was one that spawned between F7 and South Observation in a "trench" near the road built between the two.

I also had a random cargo roll fast and hard down the mountain for the Aerojeet which had me laugh hard seeing it roll down the mountain. I don't know if one of you chucked it and that's how it spawned in my world, but it's the only time I've seen cargo rolling in the world and it caused me to split sides.

DS2 seems like a middle finger to everyone who loved the first game: retcons out the wazoo, the worst story kojima has ever written, twists so pointless and predictable that you wonder if the game is calling you retarded...

I absolutely loved DS1, it will always be a special game to me, one that made me truly feel something. the ending is one of the best in all of vidya. when the second one was revealed, I instantly had a bad feeling about it, because I knew, they would have to retcon tons of shit for the sake of sam being the protag again. his arc was beautifully concluded only to now make lou his real daughter for bullshit reasons and diminish a lot of the impact of the first game: like his WIFE (here she is only his fuckbuddy) killing herself because she is having his dooms baby and seeing it's nightmares which drove her insane. something so tragic and traumatic just retconned with the worst anime magic I've ever witnessed.
making the gamer believe AGAIN lou is gonna die, can't work twice. I felt NOTHING. I KNEW she wasn't dead, I knew she was tomorrow with anime magic. they had to kill off someone though, for the ""impact"" so they went for fragile, the second most endearing character after the baby and they did that in the most braindead way possible.
I enjoyed playing the game, but the ending soured me so much, I struggle to finish the post-game content. that world just doesn't feel right to me at all. a game made for the haters of the first one and at the detriment of the lovers of the first one. No likes from me, Kojima

>>736613456

There was a shift in MGSV. He went from a movie segmented by multiple gameplay instances to what is essentially a sandbox game segmented by multiple cutscene instances. I sank like 150 hours into the first game and it only has like 8 hours of cutscenes. So much for “moviegame”

>>736616164
It's difficult to tell in game but I kind of got that impression, though it's somewhat reliant on the player knowing about that voidout that happened prior to either game.

I think the visual representation from Neils POV as a BT didn't make it quite clear enough that's what you were witnessing.

I'm also confused somewhat on the timeline, because APAS wasn't a thing in DS1 so presumably 4k only came into being in the 11 months between 1 and 2 but that can't be the case if this is the inciting event and that happened before 1.

Also Sam looks cool with short hair.

People complaining about trucks while also using them instead of just walking is something I will never understand.
Also, you can disable online structures in the settings but it will disable everything except for roads being built by others. You can disable automatic login and play offline to prevent the roads from being built too. Of course, the shared structures from other players are a fundamental part of “strand-type games”, but you do you

>>736618387
It's silly that there's no such "Kill & Burn" team or service in this world. If there were constantly armed thugs beating up porters you'd think Bridges, APAC, or someone would think "You know what, fuck it. You're too much of a burden, we're going to eradicate your group."
>>
>>736618696
I feel like the coffin is pretty balanced. It doesn't give any extra carry capacity so you have to make multiple trips to do what the truck would accomplish in a single trip, so the faster travel time evens out.

>why didn't that bitch ask sam, who literally cannot DIE to help her?
Sam is with Bridges/Amelie. He isn't a smuggler. He could've been told, but what the fuck could he have done against Bridgett's company?

>why not fucking bridges herself?
Good question. The reason we know of (until Kojima retcons) is that Bridgett didn't know what the company was doing behind her back.

>why didn't bridges/amelie tell sam lou is his kid?
Because of Bridges. We see this in the cutscene at the end where Neil is trying to get the therapist out. THEY KNOW. It's why she tried to lie and say "no, it's actually THIS dudes kid. The kid doesn't have Sam's ability!" but it's flimsy as hell, given, as I said: Bridges already knew.

Neil and Lucy's connection (Lucy and him running away in the first flashback area/Italy that isn't explained much). Neil's beach being the one Fragile finds (Lou is somehow super special and understood links while a fetus!) to protect Lou.

There are some plotholes that I feel Kojima put in because of playtesters. Really, if people were THAT excited by his story, he should've accepted he written something good and kept it instead of going "LE AUTEUR, I NEED THE LE HATERS!" over it.
