What list of "golden age/classic/obscure/hidden gem/ludo, etc" singleplayer games would you recommend to a newfag zoomer like me who grew up on multiplayer shooters and mobile gacha? I'm tired of constantly losing in ranked plus the dopamine from gacha pulls no longer hit like they use to.
The most I've fully beaten in terms of Singleplayer games are literally just the entirety of the Zelda, Metroid, and Kirby franchises.

Just play them Anon.

It's so over for this industry bro
Anyway
I guess if you really don't know shit about vidya then tour around popular series. See what genres you're interested in. Look into more of them from there. GTA, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, whatever. Can use pic to point to some, only real anomaly here is Xenoblade X since that is one of my favorite games, but it's pretty fucking bizarre it got that high up.

Megaman is one of the smoothest controlling NES games. 3 onward, at least. 1 and 2 aren't quite as responsive, and only just barely.
>>
Cave Story
Monkey Island
FTL
Okami
Pikmin
Earthbound
Shadow of the Colossus
Infinifactory
Spelunky
Chrono Trigger
Eye of the Beholder
Klonoa
System Shock
Portal
Super Monkey Ball

Fantastic JRPG that doesn't take zillion hours to beat. Has great pacing, and very memorable characters.
If you haven't really played JRPGs, it's a great introduction to the genre.

Go to flea markets and find old games there, just pick what you think looks cool instead of googling them like you would back in the day.
And flash games.

I guess /v/ tends towards more western-ish games, but I wouldn't really say they're "the same"
If you need more overtly weeaboo shit I will point you towards
>Sega
>Atlus
>Nippon Ichi Software
>Vanillaware
>Grasshopper
>Spike Chunsoft
>Bandai Namco
>Marvelous
>Obligatory Square Enix, Capcom, Konami
Can just kinda look at their games. I think most of my favorite vidya fall somewhere under these
