I feel like I'm the only person on the planet that perfers Valhalla to Odyssey. Odyssey just feels very similar tonally to Origins, just bigger. And there is a lot of overlap between the ptolomeic Egypt and ancient Athens,obviously, to the point it feels like they reused some assets.While Valhalla feels actually quite fresh, because 9th century Norway/England is something different.

>>736604514Origins > Shadows > Valhalla > Odyssey.Odyssey is easily without question the worst of the four RPG games and near the bottom in terms of the AC games as a whole. They ruined so much of the series with just that one game and have been backpedaling ever since. The fact that they made Shadows (Dumb decisions with Yasuke aside) is nothing short of a miracle because they listened to basically every criticism about their garbage systems, made stealth probably the best in the series even if enemies can't climb roofs anymore breaking it, and removed dialogue choices entirely via Canon Mode.

Even on Nightmare he can eat like 4 hits, has a scream that perpetually heals him and functionally doubles his damage, almost everything dies in 1-2 hits from his posture attacks, and he gets some insanely broken passives.

Honestly despite the story being retarded and Kassandra not making much sense and forced into canon I still enjoyed Odyssey a lot, the world is really beatiful to explore and the ship mechanics are reminiscent of Black Flag, Atlantis and Elysium were beatiful to explore too.
I for one like Eivor. I like his meathead attitude and how wide-eyed and surprised he is about everything.
