I really miss ARR/HW days. I mean sure, the game has always had dumb costumes and bikini tanks. But it's been trending way too far into the Second Life VRchat scene for way too long now. It's so alienating to want a normal immersive MMORPG world but it's full to the brim of stuff you'd see on the streets of Miami (hoodies, sneakers, mobile phones etc). It's so jarring when you go somewhere like Foundation where it's all knights wearing armor you'd see in the 1700s. Then someone runs past you wearing modern stuff you see in everyday life. You can tell they had different ideas of casual when you look at the NPCs in the starter cities and the casual clothes are tabards or hempen gear or whatever, not hoodies.
