Actual operators are fit but lean, with very good cardio and endurance being the primary prerequisites. This also applies to Owen and Manny, who are both bigger than Abby and carrying far too much weight. On the other hand, it's also not credible for Ellie to take out entire platoons of armed men by herself. Not because she's too small, but because women simply don't make effective combatants in that way, let alone tiny lesbians. The fact that no one had a problem with this speaks to the fact that Druckmann was foolish for attempting to make Abby muscular enough to be threatening. Gamers do not care about that. In as much as they like female characters at all, the only criteria is that they be attractive.
