ITT: gay-ass retarded arguments /v/ has made against legitimately great gamesI'll start>"OH FUARKKKKKKK, IS THAT SUNLIGHT AND A CLEAR SKY?!?! NOOOOO THIS ISN'T REAL CYBERPUNK ITS SUPPOSED TO BE RAINING AND NIGHT 24/7!!!!"
>736648705
>>736648801>>736648861Kill yourself, Shazamtranny. You lost
>>736648910Copies sold doesn't mean anything. Even after all the game's patches and updates, it is still total shit and shouldn't have been called "Cyberpunk"
>>736648910it's a disappointment of an rpg and a half baked open world. I blame CDPR for not making the game more semiopen world and linear the game would've been 10x better. But it's a decent story game about dr Jekyll and mr Hyde
Shazamposting was one mentally ill discord to start that fizzled fast. The rest of the guerilla negging is south east asian publishers like Tencent paying groups to slander/review bomb.Japan is finally doing something about it. The West is too cucked, or bribed at the exec level and just keeps letting it ruin their businesses.
Even a half decade later Cybershitters are still doing damage control. Pretty amazing
>>736648705>NIGHTYou are raped lolHalf a decade later kurwajeets still strawmanning and getting murdered with the same, simple rebuttal >>736219023
>>736650406>Japan is finally doing something about itImporting pajeets and sucking israeli cocks.
>>736648705What makes it stupid?Isn't one of the main themes in cyberpunk living in a heavily urbanized area full of towering buildings everywhere that you literally don't see the sunlight down there on the streets making it seem like nightime always?
Today I will remind them
>>736652550>shazamtranny is STILL so bootyblasted about cyberspunk that a decade later xhe is still shitting and pissing xhir diaper
>>736648705It was an ok game.
>>736648705also>it was pure dogshit at release so I'm going to hate it forever and pretend it's still just as jank as the release version
>>736648705>FUARKKKKKKKKill yourself preddit
>>736652950bugs were never the main issue hollywood wholesome chungus railroad story and soulless FPSlop gameplay wereand those things can't even be fixed, not even with mods
>>736652550>Selection of different character asses
This is what it should have looked like
>>736652950It was and still is. t. only actually played the game for the first time after it was "fixed" only to find it's still buggy, janky and shit.
>>736653474i want an art deco kino open wolrd game
>>736648705That's why I install mods to make it rainy and night 24/7
>nu-CDPR shillsNo purchase
>>736652550Man, it's kinda sad.
>>736648705I actually really liked having nice weather in a cyberpunk setting for a change, it was real refreshing and made the world feel more real, as opposed to other night/rainy cyberpunk settings feeling more like caricatures.
>>736655247>CD Projekt Red hired real city planners to ensure that no corners were cut when it came to the development of one of the most lived-in cities ever made for a video game.lmao
>>736648705Bump
>>736652550The problem isn't that they failed to live up to their promise. It's that you allowed deliberately unspecific marketing speak to create a very specific too-good-to-be-true image in your head.
>>736653474That's a little too much art deco in my cyberpunk.
>>736653474nah this is lame af actually
>>736648910Bieber song sold hundreds of millions. Does that mean his song is good? Yeah, to braindead retard fans.
>>736653474>game only has 3 locations because it's a 4 hour indie game
>>736650948Alright, I kek'd hard lmao
I didn't care for Evelyn, didn't care for El Capitan, didn't care for Wakako Okada, they heavily insisted upon themselves to be too important.
I like El Capitan's sleazy east european used car salesman haircut.
>>736659736It's literally not even an RPG. And let's not talk about them lying their Night Wire a few days before release about features that still don't exist and never will in the game
>>736648705Its not sunlight, its the style and something more. The place seems like a rockstar city with some scifi placeholders. It have few spots that feel a bit more cyberpunk-y, but to tell you the truth, the game was so homogenized that even my wife and few gf/wifes of my pals finished it. Girls that hate all fps and have trouble with walking and steering the camera at the same time. Its like watered down, teenage version of it, its like totaly different genere than grimy gobson books or few 80/90s cyberpunk movies. Its like orginal lotro vs current bullshit.
>>736661860>It's literally not even an RPG.Define RPG in such a way as to exclude Cyberpunk but not every other RPG.
>>736661889Also johnny silverhand served as a forced storyline/gm character because cd project cant design a game with user created protagonist and multiple plots.
>>736662081>user created protagonistBarely. V is a fully fleshed out shit character that murders role playing.
>>736661956There is no roleplaying. Its linear story with no choices
>>736652550I couldn't care less about any of that expect for the second point, which was the most important thing for me. But CDPR had to scrap the entire story to make it the Keanu Chungus wholesome 100 show
>Name game after extremely famous genre with extremely recognizable artistic style>The art direction of the game is completely wrong, almost the complete opposite of what it should be>Retards will still defend it to death because they are incapable of rational thought
>>736648910why do the npcs walk like robots? Even in this promo pic they look fucking awful. Doesnt help that they are janky as fuck, have terrible reactions and shitty pathfinding
>>736662249Literally a lie bruvYou failed
>>736653078Tell us what game you think has good combat, that cyberpunk could've aspired to
>>736662370>Name game after extremely famous genrewrong, its named after a game.>The art direction of the game is completely wrong, almost the complete opposite of what it should bereally? How so?
>>736662370>Name game after extremely famous genreIt's named after a TTRPG.>The art direction of the game is completely wrong,Cyberpunk is a thirty plus year old genre with many artistic interpretations and stylistic epochs.>>736662249Fallout New Vegas has a linear story; no matter your choices you always end up in the Second Battle for Hoover Dam.
>>736662548Being a modern console ADS FPS cripples it in the cradle. There's no salvaging it.
>>736659736Non-linear story isn't unspecific. >>736661956>>736662443>>736662659CDPR stopped calling the game an RPG shortly before launch. I am in agreement with them. You can decide for yourself that it's actually a 3rd person RTS/RPG/deck-builder hybrid all you want.
>>736662659Fallout New Vegas has a faction system, actual build variety, different ways of finishing long narrative quests and companions.Trannypunk is a Far Crylike with "go here kill all niggers" quests and a railroaded story that doesn't matter.
>>736662659the story of nv changes through its duration, you can also influence the open world
>>736662560Not that guy, but cd project cyberpunk is like an rockstar cake with a light cyberpunk topping. The "style" is a literaly basic bitch landscape with addtion of neons and some scifi tech.Game thats named cyberpunk should honor the style and atmosphere of the orginal. It dont look like how cyberpunk classic portray it and gameplay dont feel like cyberpunk rpg. It fails to capture the cyberpunk aestetics and fails to translate rpg gameplay. Its funny because you can even see how they let go of the idea of doing open world cyberpunk game with good story in favor of railroad expirience woth forced jhonny silverhand storyline. They promised a game with multiple classes, storyline but they had to make another deadline and change the game in last year before the release. If game
>>736662370There's nothing more unironically Cyberpunk than retards crying online to defend the genre of capitalists making money off anti capitalist messaging. You are the product of Cyberpunk propaganda, you are what Cyberpunk larps as preaching against, people like you existing. It's genuinely hilarious. The only thing that makes it funnier is that there's a real chance you're just a fucking bot typing a generated message after being prompted to create an argumentative reply.
>>736648952game sells badly>ahahah sloppy floppy game losted [posts a chart every 10 minutes]game sells well>uhh sales dont mean anything actually
>>736662826>>736662886>Fallout New Vegas has a faction system, actual build variety, different ways of finishing long narrative quests and companions. That's great, anon. Those are some of the reasons why NV is one of my favourite games of all time. But I am specifically addressing anon's point of a linear RPG. Most RPGs are linear. Mass Effect always ends with you confronting Sovereign. Dragon Age: Origins always ends with you fighting the Archdemon. You can't avoid fighting Morag in NWN, I think - it's been a while since I played that one. Fallout 1 with the Master (unless you're counting submitting to the torture and 'ending') and Fallout 2 with Frank.
>>736648705>great gamelollmfao
>>736663023The game is streamlined expiriencnce for people that dont read/care about cyberpunk genere and likewise arent into real rpg.You can like anything you want but saying that this game is a good cyberpunk rpg is like riding on vespa while youre posing as a og biker.
>>736663023imagine if they actually bothered adapting the source material
so does anyone actually play the TRPG here or what? kinda tired of my locals just wanting to play DnD but its WHOOPS ITS ALL THEIFLINGS
>>736648910Fuckinh hilarious that they got one win, developed an ego the size of Jupiter, and then a year later got raped to death by Elden Ring.
>>736648705If I wanted to play GTAV with more blinky lights, I'd just download a blinky lights mod for GTAV.Retards out here defending all the shitty endings because "durrr it's cyberpunk it's supposed to suck" but then turn around and tell you it doesn't actually have to look and feel like Cyberpunk at all. Pick a fucking lane and stick to it.
>>736650982Still mad about Taiwan huh?
>>736648705It was a woke and still is a woke gameA woke game cannot be good because woke makes everything bad therefore this game is still bad.
>>736662413you ever walk down the street and realize other people see you and suddenly you get self-conscious about your gait and try to re-adjust it and start doing awkward shit? same thing here
>>736663713?Have an upvote nigger
>>736663689>defending all the shitty endings because "durrr it's cyberpunk it's supposed to suck"thats what fucking pisses me off. The Silverhand ending is the worst. Theres no way Johnny would turn into a little bitch who runs away (not to mention theres nowhere to run off to, unless youre fine with starvation and nomad raids). Every single cyberpunk game, anime, comic, whatever, its all gonna end the same now. It would be fine if they werent so dramatic about it tho. Every questline ends with someone dying, V looking over the city and some violin playing in the background. Its so cringe and played out.
>>736663520Yeah, i get that people that dont/didnt play paper rpg are the target, but people defending it are just ignorants that dont know source material.
>>736663809I just adjust it with my hands. I dont care about it anymore, its not like I would be any less repulsive to people if I did.
>>736651187>What makes it stupid?I'll tell you what makes it stupid. What makes it stupid is people get the idea that cyberpunk should be that way because of Blade Runner which is not a cyberpunk film but just a regular sci-fi film and even then the reason for the night and rain in Blade Runner was because it's heavily influenced by noir and nobody has ever claimed cyberpunk is an offshoot of neo-noir because that would be fucking stupid.
>>736664383read the second paragraph in >>736663520
>>736664383>people get the idea that cyberpunk should be that way because of Blade RunnerBut thats what the writers did.
>>736664446That's not official.
>>736664185Thats basicly all "rpg" fanfic games that released recently.Take bg3, almost all major characters that were designed to be in the party need to have over dramatic plot that revolves around death. Its a failed writer that ends up in writer room problem. They dont write for game, but for themself, curing their unfullfilled dreams for dramatic writer career. All they know is that death is easy way to involve feelings, they are unable to craft good dramatic story without it. Its like romance writers that cant not add cheating/other partners.
>>736665387its particularly bad in cyberpunk because your death should be fucking legendary so people naturally try to go out as badass as possible
A cyberpunk thread isn't a cyberpunk thread without a Rebecca in it
>>736653078>hollywood wholesome chungusyou didn't play the game or look into how it ended
>>736667806you're new
>>736664913its from the original ttrpg
>>736650948if you live in a dystopia its not perpetually raining and miserable and dark and drab. honestly they shouldve made the game look even more mundane to drive the point home, the super evil black citadel towers are a bit on the nose.
>>736668771>if you live in a dystopia its not perpetually raining and miserable and dark and drabin cyberpunk it is. What other dystopia are we talking about in this thread?
>>736668771We went past the point of realism and the mundane as soon as the red eyed robot cyclops with swords in their arms started jumping from their bikes. Fuck is the point of making the entire game saturated piss yellow and sunny with green tinted nights? It doesn't contrast for juxtaposing what you say because the art style is overblown and silly anyway. It just looks like shit.
>>736669062>weird arm prosthesis is unrealisticno it isn't.
>>736667847you wish I was
>>736663520Well, there's always a gang/police shootout around a corner, so there's that. But yeah, it's crazy how you can just leave your car anywhere and it doesn't get fucked with, or how V's apartment is actually pretty decent (not considering the outside part of it) and how it never gets fucked with either.
City itself looks great But they dropped the ball with NPCsMost of them look generic GTA npcs
>>736664913Retard
>>736669870>Most of them look generic GTA npcsYou haven't played the game. No, they do not. The NPCs in Cyberpunk are wayyy more varied than in GTA has ever been. The people walking around in Cyberpunk are a spectacle themselves. They look like complete freakshows with weird bodymods and clothes, its just that their AI is shit
>>736669823>not considering the outside part of itthe outside part is totally fine. Sure its dirty or whatever, but I know at least 1 apartment comple in my town thats just as filthy (and walking around it is more dangerous than in the game). The citizens shouldve felt more threatening, but everyone in the game feels like some low T average Joe. Thats the problem with modern liberals writing stuff. They cant write realistic gritty humans. This 1 scene was better than all of cyberpunks worldbuilding
>>736669823It should be>corpo: kindda fine livestandards because you live in secure compound building, as soon as you walk outside your coorp prison youre a walking target without bodyguards.>streetkidYou live in a slum and deal with cons, goons and gangs 24/7And cd project cyberpunk eqiuvalent expirience is 3h prologue and after that you are sameman/woman with silverhand inside your head. When you take the setting into account, the game is as deep as a puddle, gameplay, story but also style/world wise. The only thing that makes it look good is that its better than most other slops.
>>736670283What are you talking about?? GTA npcs had waaay more identity and soul. Its like they had different personalities based on the model. Trust me, just browse through the director mode and youll see.Cyberpunk npcs are just empty shells who are dressed nicely. Theres just regular npcs, hobos and gangsters. Thats it.>They look like complete freakshows with weird bodymodsWOAH DUDE, a metal arm! So crazy!
>>736670691>3h prologuemore like 3 minutes until you get fired and lose your trauma team plan you only can then read about or see in a mandatory sidequest.
>>736648705I agree with this take but it is honestly really strange how the game is by default set to have dark nightime hours last from only like 10pm to 4am.
>>736670283They all look like American spics and hookers and not that sci fi like why not bitches in tight latex
>>736664383Even if we fairly say that Blade Runner isn't cyberpunk, Blade Runner heavily influenced Cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is also heavily Noir influenced and you're a retard for denying this.
>>736668771>If you live in a dystopia its not perpetually raining and miserable and dark and drab. How can you say this when the UK exists?
>>736672683there are also good places to live that get lots of rain, britain also has beauty in its nature and the UK being a dystopian surveillance hellhole does not stop the sun from shining or flowers from blooming. it is not perpetually night and there are still things to enjoy if you lived there because otherwise everyone there would just kill themselves. starmer doesnt live in a black obelisk surrounded by ominous thunderclouds even if he might as well.
>>736671543ummm, because its realistic? Chud?
>>736672872but the nature in the world of Cyberpunk is so fucked up that it IS always gloomy
Looking back, it’s fucking hilarious how hyped I was for this game only for the first two hours to crush my expectations with one disappointment after another. Something felt off from the very start, like the painfully basic character creator. Then there were those janky, stiff animations like when your character adjusts their hair or steps away from the mirror, feeling like a last minute addition. A few minutes in, you’re watching that two minute montage summarizing how you supposedly become best friends with Jackie and meet all these important NPCs, moments you should’ve experienced organically while playing. Then comes the VR training, your first taste of how clunky melee combat is and how silly the ragdoll physics can be. The first real mission and vehicle combat cement the reality, this is essentially a eurojank FPS with enemies so braindead they shatter any shred of immersion. Finally, you’re driven to the megabuilding with your apartment, where the game opens up and you realize: this is it. This is as good as it gets. The NPCs act like braindead mannequins, the Night City slang feels painfully forced, and the mission where you fight the training robot is just another reminder of how bad melee combat is. Then you step outside, walk the streets and watch cars and NPCs randomly glitch out on the road. I know it sounds dramatic if you went in with low expectations and it’s still a 6 maybe a 7/10 game on a good day, but it’s hilarious how far this is from what was promised
>>736660782bieber has some great songs

>>736674914>only for the first two hours to crush my expectations with one disappointment after anotherdude, I was playing on base ps4 and I kept thinking that the hard drive just needs to properly spin up or the CPU just needs to heat up
