This made worse by the Dragon Ruler era, so dominant they banned the rules for 15 years.Konami then creates Rokket and tries not to break it by introducing weaknesses like no proper Link 2, but then players create Dragon Link. But unlike with Chaos Dragons before, Dragon Link players are now using more Red-Eyes cards, namely Metal Dragon and Red-Eyes Fusion off Verte. I'm sure that made Konami mad.Blue-Eyes can theoretically use generic dragon support but is generally not part of a Dragon Link piles in the same way Red-Eyes is. Konami holds grudges against certain decks and Red-Eyes feels like one of them, since every good new Red-Eyes card gets rolled into Dragon Link.

Some of these cards are interchangeable to a degree and be inexpensive to obtain (like Hope Harbinger can be subbed out with Photon Lord which comes with the deck, but nothing can really replace Gallant Granite's function, yet all of them are relatively affordable single cards) even if they're less optimal, but when they're just as expensive as the product that they already bought (like how the whole Fiendsmith package is more expensive than the Legendary Modern Decks product) the disconnect between a new player and an experienced one shows: a new player probably won't spend that much on cardboard if they're not entirely sure that they like the game yet.

>>736703386I despise tower centric strategies in general, like Lunalight and Raidraptor when they aren't Kali Yuga locking you. I know they aren't that amazing, but they've lived rent free in my head since the original towers came out (and it wasn't even that good when QIips were relevant). It doesn't help that these strategies tend to be either extremely combo heavy or floodgate heavy as well.
