I'm fine with the design and landmass of the content but there are too many areas where they don't put anything because half of the chest quota ever since the volcano and every area released after is just dumping several chests in one spot to get all at once.I'm willing to bet their internal analytics show most players have like 60% map completion in most areas but the changes to the compass are more than enough to bump that number up. They didn't need to also consolidate everything.

The residents of the Temple of Space seem to be rather fine with eternal stagnancy. Normally, fictional humans turned immortal have a tendency to get fed up with their immortality sooner or later, and Genshin seems to follow that principle. But I guess in Genshin, some people can handle it, others can't, and the Temple of Space seems to be really good at picking people who can deal with it. Some people eventually choose to leave at the expense of their memories, but most of them seem to stick around.
