I'm itching for a game like far cry 2 that is not far cry 2. One man against the world, in some shithole country, shooting the ak47 feels good af. probably just looking for another game where shooting the ak feels similarly (good)

any suggestions?

GET OUT OF HERE STALKER
>>
FC2 without all the driving would be kino, even if you use the bus you still have to do a lot of driving, it's crazy.
>>

I've seen gameplay videos of stalker the ak looks like shit. I assume it feels like shit also

You literally have to play at least shadow of chernobyl man, its a classic. Its so similar to fc2 and has better rp and economy mechanics.
Fc2 is the KING of booby trap IED madness though nothing beats blowing up convoys with roadside bombs and wtching the grass and trees burn as you laugh maniaclly
>>
>>736692296
Have you uhmm... tried Far Cry 1?
Instead of shithole country you're on a mad scientist island fighting against supermutant creatures
>>
>>736692686
>shadow of chernobyl
it's chornobyl, chud

Whatever man, i got the "y" in the right spot. Im from Canada idfc about ukraine or russia or isreal or playstine, dude. I just want our fucking government to hold those accountable for all the price fixing in the grocery and communications sectors like they said they would back in 20fucking15. Miss me with your geopolitics nigga, we got way to many domestic problems to be shelling out bills for random backwater shitholes stuck in the last century.

Televison and film

I feel you man
For a while (i.e. since MGSV came out and was disappointing) I've wanted an african mercenary simulator
>third-person socom-ish gameplay
>set in fictional central african country
>you design your starting merc and take on simple missions for local warlord
>you live in a tent with whatever rusty AK you picked up from the street market
>as you gain money you can recruit new mercs as teammates and form a squad
>expand your camp with new tents
>the more recruits you gather, the more money you can earn by sending them out on missions
>permadeath, if your starting merc dies you select his successor and play on
>base building - build cabins, barracks, shooting range, kitchen, obstacle course
>at this point you're leading your own merc company and choosing missions against factions as you like
>buy/steal vehicles from missions for your company
>country map shows territories of the various factions, can capture and conquer more territory and exploit it for profit
>factions can team up to attack your territory
>can take humanitarian missions for the UN and be a good guy, or take on arms/drug smuggling evil missions
>by the endgame you can take your entire merc company with you on a mission, flying guys in via your helicopter fleet and just decimating the enemy
>winning the game means either (a) defeating the factions and restoring order for the UN, or (b) conquering the whole country and ruling as a dictator

This game is fun until you get to the mutant monkeys, also the versions you can get online are bugged, because I remember playing it when it first released and you could sneak around and hide in bushes and stuff but you can't do that anymore in the digital versions.
>>
>>736693121
Is that what's going on with the steam version?
I remember playing this shit on console and sneaking around all the time, I tried playing on Steam the other day and the enemies immediately saw me every single time. I thought I'd just gotten rusty or some shit

give this man a dev team and 2million rn fuckin now
>>
>>736692296
Boiling Point Road to Hell.
>>
>>736693253
> Patch v1.4 (32-bit only) - The latest patch available for the game. On non GOG versions, a bug that might be encountered is that the AI can see the player through walls and kill him quickly, use Unofficial Patch 1.41 to fix it.

yep.
>>
>>736692296
we don't talk about Farcry 2
>>
>>736693121
>>736693253
how fucking difficult is it to be a pc gamer and read the fucking pcgamingwiki?
>>
>>736693671
I didn't care enough to look, I played for like an hour and just kinda shrugged it off and played a different game. Do you check the PCGamingWiki every single time you launch a game?
>>
>>736692296
Farcry 2 had such a cool setting and some really cool tech wasted on a pretty mediocre game. Constant fucking driving around and weapons exploding and malaria pills. The buddy system was pretty cool too. Metro Exodus comes to mind though.
>>
>>736693049
this
>>736693276
make it 20 million

>>736693562
who's talking? I'm typing

>>736693296
this actually looks terrific
It's just sad the graphic is very outdated, no iron sights, and the shooting doesn't look like it feels good

I'l try it out anyway

I've also found out Xenus 2. White gold made by the same guys
>>
>>736693843
yeah I agree, if UBISOFT weren't a bunch of retarded kike faggots they could invest minimal money to remake the game the basic improvements it needed. It could be a masterpiece
>>
>>736693296
>>736694101
Boiling Point: Road to Hell and Xenus 2: White Gold are kino and pretty much what OP's looking for
I don't remember if the AKs in these games are good tho, since OP seems to be autistic about this
>>
>>736693049
>mercenary simulator
Maybe Total Conflict: Resistance. It is supposed to be a spiritual successor to Freeman Guerilla but I didn't try it.
>>
>>736694498
The AK is fine in boiling point. The thing that catches people out is at the start of the game the player has zero skills in anything so their ability to shoot is suboptimal shall we say.

Also: luv me beans
>>
>>736694498
>I don't remember if the AKs in these games are good tho, since OP seems to be autistic about this
very much so

I played insurgency sandstorm earlier and it rekindled my hard-on for AKs

unfortunately one cannot appreciate it fully in mp games when one must autistically minmax the weapon and not enjoy it fully as one should
>>
>>736693121
It only got more fun for me after the mutants, especially when you get thrown from a helicopter into an island of big fat mutants with no weapons, that part was hardcore
>>
>>736692296
Jak 2.
>>
>>736693769
yes because I don't play the latest aaa shit
>>
>>736693121
>>736693253
Nah stealth in FarCry 1 has always been shit, the bug in some digital versions only made it a bit worse.
>I remember playing this shit on console and sneaking around all the time
Console versions aren't ports of the PC version, they're different games. Stealth was probably fixed for the console versions.
