The abilities were cool. The special stages were fun and adequately difficult. The level gimmicks were hit-or-miss, but generally enjoyable. The art style is great all-round. The game doesn't overstay its welcome. I liked it and would recommend it. Picrel can eat shit though.

It's alright, but way too easy with barely any challenge even in the last worlds. Even when you're doing all the secret levels, it only actually becomes difficult for the very last level.
It's especially frustrating because even if you buy the idea that kids games need to be this easy (even though older Mario games did fine with more challenge), the game already has more than enough easy modes between skippable levels, unlockable powers and whole characters that are invincible.

Nice art style and fun stage ideas, but the easy difficulty makes most of it very unmemorable. Also the badges are too unbalanced. A shame that the best boss fights are on the Switch 2 DLC, since they’re also the best Koopaling fights in the whole series.

Too easy, too handholdy with the backseating flower, and I got bored around 3 worlds in and only finished it because it's a short game.

I legitimately can't even remember most of the game anymore, the entire game is moving through forgettable set pieces that leave no lasting impression because there's no real challenge.

It was fun. A proper DLC with new levels would have been better than Bell Park, which seems like it's just leaning into the worst stages in Wonder which were those weird little competitive/co-op team challenges.

I can see they put alot of effort into the presentation but for some reason it feels more soulless than ever, you could say NSMB was getting stale at this point, with Nintendo just going through the motions but to me Wonder feels like a mobile game presentation wise, getting Scarlet/Violet vibes.
I didn't like the elephant powerup and how much it was used, even visually it looks stupid, this is the first time in a Mario game where I actively avoided the brand new gimmicky power up, in 3D world I loved the catsuit.
Gameplay wise level design is hit or miss, badges are a good idea on paper but should absolutely never ever have been in a Mario game, Mario games are one of the rare platformer series where the rules are clearly established from the beginning and then the game expands on that with level design, Mario should not have equippable abilities.

It's a game for very young children.
Playing Mario Wonder is basically like watching that Barney show. I don't know how some adults actually manage to do it

Yeah. Some are actually quite tough too, I was surprised. They also added new dual badges you can unlock that give you two different badge abilities at once which is actually something I wanted from the base game
