I ran across the tales of berseria thread from 2 days agoAre these games good? The world of real time jrpgs is a blackbox. Thinking of playing her game because I like this outfit a lot
Like i said, do you have to ask here? Look at the metacritic score of each game, watch reviews on YouTube...anything else, but asking people here isn't the best idea. Then again, I say it as someone who hasn't played the games, I just know that they are often considered good games.

>>736736170Berseria is good, its also a great place to start since its got a lot of refinement in the battle system while older games can feel very slow until the mid-endgame. Good cast and one of the better protagonists in the series.
It's an AA game and it's really noticeable with the level design, world, monsters, and lots of padding. Graphics are okay, the anime style hasn't age that badly.It has a really weird combat system that is equally too braindead and too complicated. The equipment system is garbage.What you want to play this game for are the characters, character interactions and overall story. It probably has the best cast of characters in a JRPG. The music is also pretty good.Yeah, it's not an objectively great game, but if you like the characters, then you will have a good time. Which is a pretty subjective thing, so beware.

Berseria is a good Tales game, with the best MC and cast solely for the edge factor. Best way to play it is on the Switch 2.

Tales of Berseria's game mechanics are all extremely mediocre but I would say it is worth playing because of the really strong character writing for the main cast. The story itself is so-so the cast is so charismatic it pushes the game up a couple of tiers above it's level, its worth checking out.

Berseria not very good. It feels so button-mashy. Like yeah it's 'cool', but that's not why you play video games. Velvet just facerolls into every enemy without worry and then you win unless you royally fuck up
