i once waged at one of these stores. they don't put the cart in the case, it's just display copies. the actual sealed game is behind the counter, and they have a seperate draw for unreleased titles. they have a list that tells them what games are releasing and when. and senior staff are responsible for moving the unreleased titles to their respective draw for release day. display copies also don't go out on the shelves until the release day. that's how it worked at the store i worked at, and i'm pretty sure it's how it works at most places.no, someone in a senior position isn't going to risk their job to fetch you a sealed copy. senior retail workers are incredibly uptight, the most obnoxious people i've ever had to work with, it's like manager levels of bad, except they don't get paid a manager wage so they're in a constant state of internal seething.
