>>736771882If you actually play a good amount of classic Doom it's just moody corridor shooting with a wildly variable midi soundtrack and the occasional big firefight that escalated as the games went along, especially since Always Run isn't really the default. Playing Classic Doom with a controller is unironically closer to the old idea of basic mouse aim or arrow key directions. By that virtue the biggest slowness about nuDoom is just the constant secret hunting in empty zones after every fight is over and interruptions from finishers.
