You didnt miss your last chance at PC gaming did you?
>>736774747>5070Okay, I don't play at 720p
It doesn't matter what you have/don't have, they're going to kill your PC and anything else in network range one day to make SURE you have no option but to use their locked down dumb terminal cloud devices
not fussed my current gpu that I bought in 2022 should be good until 2030
>>736774810I use dlss and frame gen, i game at 4k
>>736774747I made this in late January/early February of 2025, so I think not.
>>736774747Isn't it cheaper to build it yourself? You even have ai now you can't fail
>>736775252no you game at 1080p using a filter that tries its best to look like 4k
>>736775308>5090>Doesn't get an R9If you're already spending that much money why would you jew out on the cpu.
>>736775632Only the 9800x3d was out when I made it, at this point I'll just wait for whatever the pinnacle of the socket is and drop it in then.
>>736775360And it does a very good job. It's like the difference between MP3 and FLAC, the further away you are from the content the less you notice the difference
>>736774747Already got two PCs since 2021, I won't even think about a new one before 2030.
>>736774747>RTX 3060 12 GB>Ryzen 5 5500>16 GB DDR4I don't need to upgrade ever again, modern games are all shit.
>intel 14700lol I wouldn't want it even if it was free
>>736774747>single tower air cooler
>>736775632He's not a jew he's my brother
>>736774747>9070xt>7800x3d>32 ddr5>2×1000gb nvmebought this for 1500€ in December to get back into pc gaming after years, the price spiked literally the next day and now it would cost almost 2000. Neat
Let me guess, you need more?
>>736778385>hddguess a ssd nowadays costs more than this whole pc
>>736778704says right there 512GB SSD + 1TB HDDso one to run your OS and current game and one to archive crap
>>736774747>bought a new computer a month before RAM prices started spiking
>>736778747in that case the price doesn't seem right. there's gotta be a catch.
>>736778808>Bought 64GB of laptop RAM just before the price spike>Read the tea leaves, bought 3 4TB SSDs just before that price spike>Sold those, bought a 5090
I literally have that same prebuilt. It's very good. I got it on sale for $2,000 CAD a couple months before the PC part blowup.
>bought prebuilt three years back>4070 Ti, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 13th Gen i7 (won the lottery with Intel Aviv, works flawlessly), 1TB NVMe SSD>cost me ~1200€Feels pretty good
>>736774747>rx 9060 xt 16gb>i5 10400>32gb ddr4I'll upgrade to an amd cpu in the future, but I don't need to right now because I hardly notice bottlenecks at 1080pI still think ray tracing is a meme
>>736780363do you look like that?
I've got two Playstation 5 pros in my mansion, I'm good.
>>736778324based based based based
>>736774747My 1080ti still works.
>>736774747I got an HP prebuilt with a 6700XT in 2022 for $1600It hasn't realized it can't be used for videogames yet so I keep on using itWhat is this and why do I want it?
>>736780387No anon, I just like Iffy, her style, her personality and I want to have sex with her
Any anons here have recommendations for good or """decent""" gaming laptops? Mine is currently on its eighth year and I not sure it'll last another without it literally falling apart or reaching the temperature of the sun.
>>736780871that is totally reasonable.
>>736780947Framework 16
>>736774747I don't mind that I bought a new laptop 3 years ago, I can stream with it and watch movies on a TV at a better quality. Replacing the fan is going to be a pain in the ass, but I'm glad I bought a cooling pad, and my last one, which wasn't built for intense gaming, is still going almost 10 years despite being pretty slow now (HDD). I'll just have to save up for a really long time on a desktop. I want a 40xx HP OMEN but I'll probably have to settle for less. I feel a little regret but it is what it is, and I can still play games I like anyways.
>>736774747Bought a 5080 for 2k dollary doos last month. Feels good man
>AI slops as a selling point in the item titleGay
>>736781571>16gbcongrats but grim
Is 8gb of vram enough in current year?
>>736781571>3x the price for 10% more perf than a 9070xt and now you're stuck on jeetOSDamn you're dumb
>>736781726https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2026/04/valve-dev-fixes-up-vram-management-on-amd-gpus-to-improve-performance/
>>736781694yada yada blast
>>736774747Does anyone else have a feeling that PS6 will be the gen a large portion of PC audience will convert to console gaming?
>>736781957>More expensive than ever and losing its only remaining perk, physical gamesNo, people are on pcs for featuresIf it was about power then they'd get newer cards
>>736781726If you're on a budget and doing 1080p gaming. I would stay clear of buying a PC in current year though.
>>736781957>no mods>no adblock>none of the conveniences that Steam offers>being able to do more than just game>play games at a better resolution and framerate>compatibility with an almost infinite amount of peripherals I mean I'm all for cheaper prices but let's be real man. PS6 could be $300 and people will still not switch from a PC.
>>736782031I jump through the hoops to get physical copies, its a fucking nightmare, EB is just shit these days, have to get them shipped in from interstate.
>>736781957People who play nothing but the latest AAA slop might but such people have probably already been on PS for years.
>>736781896>LoonixOkay so 16gb it is.
>>736782180Yeah but also I can game from my comfy couch and not get a dead ass from sitting in my pc chair for hours. Its genuinely about what type of game it is and for things like Metaphor or other JRPG's ps5 is still better.
For that price I got a system with 9800x3d, RTX 5080, and an additional 1tb m2 nvme drive in october at microcenter building it myself
>>736782240That's not exclusive to consoles A wireless setup with a glass mousepad on your couch is more relaxing than using a controller
>>736782318desu I've been through a wireless mouse phase but since I have a dog its better to just use the controller, she's already chewed one.
>>736782318Not exclusive if you hook up your PC to a TV and grab a controller. I have no idea what is this, but no one's buying your scampad.
>>736782485I got mine off Amazon for a third of the price my guy
>>736777594>tfw fell for the meme and bought 4060 instead of 3060
>>736782485I've had problems getting the contoller to go wireless. Might be different now I have wifi I guess but I just want to use the dualshock on the pc and its still a massive arseache
>>736782634>tfw bought a 3080
>>736782660same energy
>>736777594>>736782634>Wanted a 3060>Everywhere is sold the fuck outWhat do I do now
>>736782240Dude I have a Steam Deck and 2nd PC hooked up to the TV in my living room lmao. Steam controller makes typing on a controller a breeze. Unironic skill issue my guy.
>>736782832buy something else, duh
bought a pc with 4060 two years ago and im bussin on 1080 60fps on ultras usually, it also weirdly good at ai stuff
>>736774747I invented this PC last year and now use it to play TFT and modded Minecraft
